I think you should update this just a bit, since doran's blade and a health potion can't be your first buy anymore.

Made an account here just to vote for this.

This is by far my favorite was to build Kog Rune and item wise. I do skip on the extra Doran's Blades though and go straight for the Bloodrazor and Malady. I personally have you to thank for my main, usually mid-ing or solo top so take Teleport and Flash.

Whenever he is free it's my favorite time because the other team almost always goes AP Kog, and the BAB tears right through him. Even with this I've some embarrassing mistakes and have seemed to forget that Caustic Spike adds passive attack speed :(. I will be retrying you're layout for abilities, but have been doing well with not even leveling CS until both BAB and VO are done. Tend to almost never use CS and just farm with a VO on the creeps or if enemy is getting greedy then BAB for the kill. Or even if I can just wipe out the creeps to put pressure on a tower. It may just be my playstyle, but I tend to get ~7 buildings a game just due to BAB and pushing with Kog.

Will need to test using more CS early game, but as of now my progression is VO,BAB,BAB,VO,BAB,LA. That's almost standard for me now up till level 6. How on earth I missed the CS passive I'll never know...

Well, thanks for the criticism I'll have to think about that with maxing BAB first. Personally I like the attackspeed more, in the beginning, because then you don't have to use too much mana to be able to farm good. And if they come too close a CS+BAB combo is awesome.

I normally play zuulkras build
THIS ONE
ive already asked myself if a dorans blade at start could improve it...
Ill try your build. but id really really max out BAB first. better harassment and better killing than with Spittle. no reason not to max BAB first.
trinity foce seems interesting. But if u go trinity and not frozen mallet you should get some kind of a defensive item. Instead of Bloodrazor because. if you play kog maw with madreds your main dmg is the 10% dmd form MBR and BAB...and unfortunatly lifesteal doesnt affect this (i think so)

To Big boom:
As i probably have wrote in the text why I use the trinity is because it gives both movement speed and attack speed and more while the mallet only gives health and slow. The slow you can get through the lizard buff for example. Movement speed is very important because kog is such a slow champion and he has a hard time escaping which makes this small amount of movement speed so important.

To Trojan995:
The passive on Caustic spittle is no longer armor penetration. It's been changed too attack speed (Caustic spittle lvl 5 = 30% attack speed).
I stand corrected on the last two items, these two would give kog'maw a really fine damage but they are not needed when the other items already makes him so hard to dodge. So the last two items can be changed into something that would make him more tough.

I'm not going to rate yet, as I don't own kog'maw nor have I ever played him, but I'm actually liking this build. I like the use of the trinity force and the malady, and much of this build makes kog'maw less reliant on magic damage. However, I'm rather confused about the black cleaver. One of your skills gives incredible passive percentage armor penetration, and even more if you activate it. Last Whisper would stack better with this armor penetration, being not only cheaper but more efficient. With this you'd have 90% armor penetration when you activate caustic spittle. With black cleaver, you're actually reducing the effectiveness of caustic spittle because flat armor pen is applied before percentage armor pen.

i like it a lot but why trinity i know it does i lot but i don't think it is spot on for kog. maybe mallet instead to prevent your enemies getting away and if you are looking for health it gives you a pit more and a lot cheaper.

Plz respond
