If you need mana regen, run either yellows or blues. Gold per 10 should be on quints.
2. I meant flashing towards an ally who is about to die and then ulting him to turn the fight around. Plus as I said, no flash = get ganked.
3. I start Faerie Charm. It helps a lot with mana.
4. You're wrong about this as well. Part of what you perceive as play style is actually you being hampered by bad runes and questionable starting items. Lulu has such huge utility, it is a mistake if you don't get one in each skill. Also, getting a second point in Q strains mana more. And getting Whimsy at level 4 means you are guaranteed to die if enemy jungler ganks early. Especially since you have no Flash.
As far as Lulu guides go, this is really bad. You practically got almost nothing correct in the guide.
1. Your runes are a huge freaking mess, where the hell is your Greater Mark of Magic Penetration? Lulu has terrible AP ratios, she relies on her base skill damage, running AP without mpen means you deal no damage. Don't use Greater Glyph of Mana. You're not Ryze.
2. I disagree with no Flash. A smart enemy jungler will camp your lane if he sees no Flash. Whimsy has a long cooldown and can be baited out. Plus, Flashing into Wild Growth is one of the most awesome things you can do on Lulu.
3. So what ARE your starting items? Boots plus one sight ward? Or Faerie Charm with wards and pots?
4. Your ability sequence is wrong. First three levels are ALWAYS one point in each skill, NO EXCEPTIONS.
thanks for your feedback, here is my thoughtprocess
1. About the runes, ive been considering penetration runes for some time, however taking away mana, or the regen runes gimps you alot since you dont get to do as much harass as you actually want, the E-Q combo is very mana intensive, gold runes are a must ofc, i could swap my quintessences for mag pen quints, 6mag pen vs 26ap is really a personal choice, more dmg through the game or extra dmg early game, i prefer winning the lane early as your late game dmg is pretty weak anyways.
2. Flashing into wild growth can be done by your allies instead, just pay attention on the initiater, there shouldnt really be a reason to use it on yourself, if you wanna ulti the botlane you can just whimsy yourself on them and pop it. If the jungler camps and baits out your whimsy, its really no big deal, you still got one of the biggest slows in the game and in emergencies your ulti.
