Introduction

Hey there everyone! So this is my first guide ever. I decided that it would be kinda nice to write a guide for Lulu since shes so new and there are very few guides out and I'd like to show people how I play her. I really like Lulu since she is a very strong support and scales very well throughout the entire game. She is a very tricky support and aids her team by assisting in getting the kills with crowd control, helping them get away, throwing out different buffs and such during the fight, and throwing the enemy team out of position. She is extremely fun and I hope you all have as much success with her as I have. Wish me luck and give me some constructive comments. So without further ado I introduce you to Lulu , The Fae Sorceress.

Runes

  • Fixed ap quints for a good early game boost.
  • Scaling mana regen seals for late game mana regen.
  • Fixed cooldown reduction glyphs to help you spam your skills a little more and stack up your Tear of the Goddess.
  • Cooldown marks once again to get those cooldowns even lower and help you spam your skills.

Items

So before Lulu came out as soon as I saw her skills I began theory crafting for her. I start with the Faerie Charm because it gives you more mana early game which you need in order to be able to cast lots of spells in lane. The sight wards are standard just remember that every time you go back you should be purchasing two or so wards. Buy a ward, Save a life.

Next up I go for some Boots because for some reason Lulu feels extremely slow to me and that ability to dodge skill shots is kinda nice.

Next up you want to move straight for your Philosopher's Stone. The extra money it gives you is vital to being a support. Remember you shouldn't be getting much farm it should be all going to your carry.

Next up is my Tear of the Goddess. I purchase this because I find I tend to spam skills as her to keep my team mates alive, slow my enemies, turn them into bunnies, things like that. It tends to benefit you late game when your archangels becomes stacked. With the added ap from an archangles you dont have to buy any other ap items and you have some pretty strong spells as is mostly buffing your ult and your E

At this point I normally work towards archangles although you can find a time to put it in whenever you feel like you have the money for it.

After you get your Shurelya's Battlesong then its all up to how your game is going. Remember to leave one spot open for your wards!

Skill Sequence

Lulu and her skills are amazing for a support. If used properly you can get so much utility out of her. I max my E first because I find the more damage I can block the better however, if you are having a very aggressive lane it may benefit you more to grab and max your W, Whimsy, first. Glitterlance, your Q, is last for the sheer reason I only ever use it as a utility. Below is my usage of the skills it's a really important part of the guide and if you don't take anything from this guide but one thing make it this section.

I absolutely love this passive. Many people are complaining about how it is useless on a support but it is just the opposite. Using this skill I've been able to zone the enemy for my carry to feed, take down towers like a boss, and just be, overall, annoying as can be to the enemy team. A fantastic passive.

Glitterlance is an amazing skill that applies a slow to anyone it hits. The really cool thing to me is the fact that you can fire it from yourself and Pix. So if you throw Help, Pix! onto an enemy you can slow his entire team as the run away using that enemy as a vehicle to bring your skill to them. If you think about it it is quite beautiful.

I cannot tell you how many times in the middle of a fight on skype I have screamed "YOU ARE A CAT!!!!" (I have the Wicked Lulu skin so it turns them into adorable little kitties) This is the most amazing skill ever. If cast upon an ally they get increased movement speed and ap. So you can use this to both chase an enemy or to help get away from a group of enemies. If cast upon an enemy it turns them into an adorable little critter, silencing them and slowing them tremendously. This is so useful in both team fights and chases. If you are in a team fight try focusing their damage output or tank with your Whimsy it keeps them away from your team unable to dish out CC or damage to your team.

My favorite ability on Lulu by far. It gives an amazing shield to your team members allowing you to throw Glitterlance from them or it damages and gives you sight of an enemy for a short amount of time. This is extremely useful on stealth champions. I cannot tell you how many times I have stopped a Wukong from using Warrior Trickster to get away. It also has allowed me to hit an entire enemy team within a bush using Glitterlance. This skill is invaluable.

Lulu's ult is so amazing. It gives increased health, a slow aura, and knocks everyone within a radius around the target airborne. This both disrupts and ccs enemies allowing for your team to take a running enemy down. A really useful ability.

Summoner Spells

The two skills I use are Heal and Clairvoyance.

To me this skill is an must have for any support. It is simply to invaluable to pass up.

Many people have been saying to bring flash but I think that with Lulu it is best to bring heal since she lacks a built in heal herself.

Where to ward

I thought I'd add in this helpful little section just to show you what kind of wards go where. Now of course you don't have the time to run up to enemy red buff during laneing phase but during roaming phase go for it.
