Introduction

Welcome to my build for !

First of all, I don't speak English very well, so please don't blame me if I made some mistakes.

Second fact; you don't need to read the whole guide. I think the most of us won't do that. When I need a build, I look at the spells, masteries and items, but that's it. I don't read the whole tactics behind their build, so I guess a lot of you don't do that.

Anyways, I've made a lot of changes, and I hope they'll work out well for you all.

In this way I'll know what changes I'll have to make to make Lux even more stronger and better!

Runes

Why did I choose this runes?

SPACE+ 0.95 Magic Penetration
SPACE I did choose for this rune so that you have a nice impact with your magic from the start.
SPACE The only con is that it won't increase the higher you get.

SPACE + 6.89 Mana
SPACE This will increase the amount of mana you've got.
SPACE Lux spells use a lot of mana early game, so an extra amount of mana is nice.

SPACE + 1.49 Magic Resistance
SPACE You will die less faster when you have got magic resistance.
SPACE Most of the time you can use that magic resist.

SPACE + 4.95 Ability Power
SPACE This will grant you even more ability power.
SPACE Just to have a nice amount of AP in early game.

I won't tell something about other runes, this is something you'll have to adjust yourself.
This are the runes I use. I recommend them, but feel free to change them.

Masteries

I won't tell a lot about the mastery pages, you can adjust them the way you want them.
If more mana regen works for you, select them. If more crit strike works for you, select them.

My explanation

I think these are the best options for your masteries when you are playing with Lux. It'll grant you Ability Power, Mana and Mana Regen. It also increases your magic resist a bit, which can be useful when you are playing on mid.

Once again: Adjust them the way you want.

Also check out the runes you have got and try to neutralize them with your masteries. So if you have got less mana regen runes, you adjust your mastery pages to gain more mana regen.

Items

Core Build

SPACE Doran's is a nice item to start with.
SPACE You can sell it mid or late game to free some space for another item.

SPACE Ionian Boots of Lucidity are the best boots for Lux.
SPACE It will give you more cooldown and you can her*** the enemy.

SPACE Rod of Ages is very useful early game. You'll retrieve
SPACE Some of your hp and mana, which can be useful to lane longer.

These items are your core build. The items beneath depend on your playing style.

SPACE This item is one thing you defenitely should buy when you play AP Lux.
SPACE It grants you a lot of Ability Power so you'll get loads more damage.

SPACE It grants you a massive amount of AP early game if you play well, so you'll get OP fast.
SPACE In this way you can gank a lot and return to mid when necessary.

SPACE It will give you more mana regeneration and more ability power.
SPACE A very good choice which will take away some of your problems and give you bonus ability
SPACEpower.

SPACE A nice item with ability power and 40% magic penetration. In this way you can also do some
SPACE damage to the tanks.

SPACE The same explanation for Haunting Guise as for Void Staff.
SPACE It grants you ability power and magic penetration.

SPACE It gives you cooldown reduction, ability power and mana regeneration at the same time.
SPACE These are all the factors that Lux needs, so it's a nice item!

SPACE This boots will give you magic penetration. You can choose to play with MP or AP.
SPACE Choose the one that works best for you!

What order do I take and what do my abilities do?

Finales Funkeln

SPACE Lux damaging spells charge the target with energy for 6 seconds. Lux next attack
SPACE ignites the energy, dealing extra bonus magic damage to the target.

SPACE Lux releases a sphere of light that binds and deals damage to up to two units, dealing 50 %
SPACE effect to the 2nd unit stuck.

SPACE Lux throws her wand and bends the light around any friendly target it touches, protecting
SPACE them from enemy damage.

SPACE Fires an anomaly of twisted light to an area, which slows nearby enemies. Lux can detonate
SPACE enemies in the area of effect.

SPACE After gathering energy, Lux fires a beam of light that deals damage to all targets in the area.
SPACE In addition, triggers Lux passive ability, and refreshes the duration of Illumination.

But how do I use them?

It's really easy.
Your combo is most of the time: Q-E-R (-W if necessary).
Just snare them, slow / damage them and then ulti them.
Quite a great chance that you kill them this way.

Other possibilities

Slow them first, then, when they are behind the minions, snare them.
And ofcourse, hit them to activate your Illumination.
Then ulti them. This is also a very nice combo.

For support

Slow them first, if an ally is not able to snare / stun the enemy, you snare them.
Protect your ally with your Prismatic Barrier and let your ally's do the rest.

Or first ulti them, to get them more low HP, then slow or snare them.
Let your ally finish them off and gain an assist!

Summoner Spells

My choices

SPACE Flash - Teleports your champion to your cursor's location.
SPACE I use this spell to get away from my enemy(s) and escape through a wall or some.

SPACE Ignite - Ignites target enemy unit, dealing 70-410 true damage depending on champion level.
SPACE This deals an additional amount of damage which can grant you the kill.

Other possibilities

SPACE Teleport - Teleports your champion to a friendly location on the map.
SPACE When you play as a support, take this one! Fast assisting and laning!

SPACE Clarity - Restores 190-700 mana depending on champion level.
SPACE If you run out of mana fast and don't have mana regen runes, use this
SPACE spell.

SPACE Ghost - Your champion ignores movement collisions and moves 27 % faster.
SPACE To get away from, or to deal the last damage to your enemy.

SPACE Exhaust - Exhausts target enemy champion, reducing movement speed by 40% and attack
SPACE damage by 70%. I don't use exhaust with Lux, because you have got your snare and slow.
SPACE Your choice, I don't recommend it.

Farming

Farming is easy with Lux. Just last hit the minions or, if you want to push, kill the minions with your ball and snare. Remember that you also have your passive, so use it!

And when you are a higher level, with less cooldown, use your ulti to farm (all of) the minions.
It can beat 1 wave in one time, so you can push hard then.
