Introduction
Furthermore, I play Lux semi-support (as I like to call it). This means snaring enemies for your teammates so they can get kills or shielding them with Prismatic Barrier but not having full support built, this allows for your damage output to be very high.
All in all I hope I make up for the not so in depth guide by giving a new twist to Lux.
Pro's
+ Great burst damage.
+ Lots and Lots of CC
+ Abilities that can provide both oppertunities to secure a kill or to escape.
+ Your allies will be happy with a Lux as support (or semi-support).
+ Oversized ULT!

Con's
- VERY, VERY squishy!
- Relatively long cooldown times on abilities.
- Has been known to fall of late-game.
- Not the best choice against tanky enemies.
- Mana hungry early game.

I choose these two spells because they apply the most to Lux:
In addition the mastery Summoner's Insight improves both Flash and Clarity!
Flash allows you to escape from small ganks or chases, this is very usefull since Lux is very squishy. |
Clarity satisfys Lux' mana hungryness, especially in the early game, frequent pokes from her Lucent Singularity can empty your mana bar in no time. |

Most items used in this built are the standard AP items, however I have not found many (actually none) builts with the Nashor's Tooth in it, so here is my explanation for:
The main reason why I chose Nashor's Tooth was it's cooldown reduction. I could combine it with Athene's Unholy Grail to make the cooldown on Lux' ult only 24 seconds. In addition this item gives AP as well as attack speed, from which you both benefit in late game ( Spellsword also comes in handy to deal more damage with basic attacks).
- 65 Ability Power, AP is always good on Lux!
- + 50% attack speed, this increased attack speed allows for quicker detonation of Illumination after abilities, which allows to get the most damage out of your combo's!
- + 20% cooldown reduction, this unique passive stacks perfectly with the Athene's Unholy Grail's reduction to get the most out of your abillities (max cooldown reduction = 40%).
