Ok so i have reworked this guide because i did not agree with the previous build with her anymore so i started to use a different one that i thought i would share with you. so here it is my female death start build REWORKED

I kept the same runes as before, MP, MPR /5, and health and CDR because they were still awesome for her. She still needs that extra bit of health and she also works well with some extra power behind her as well. the cooldown also helps which you can replace with other runes if you decide to get boots of lucidity

Masteries are also relatively the same getting down to bonus magic pen on offense and getting regen, XP boost, CDR for flash and clarity, and move speed. there really isnt much benefit from reducing death timer in my mind and i enjoy the advanced regen for the laning phase and the extra move speed helps lux's slow base speed

Ok this is where i did most of the reworking. I looked back at the build and noticed it wasnt very good at all so i went through it and revised it a LOT so here we go:

Dorans ring: ok i really dont know any other item that would be better for her to start off with. ive seen many Lux's go mana crystal with pots and a few go amplifying tome with a pot too but both have their flaws and i love the extra health i get with dorans since lux tends to be squishy in the start so i stick with that/

Next i get Boots of Speed, a mana crystal and an amplifying tome. all of these are lower tier items and i usually are able to get at least 2 if not all 3 on my first trip back. boots is the main one since lux has a low base speed and she needs the extra mana and the extra power is nice to have.

Afetr getting my level one items i start building into more complex items. I usually go Mercurry's Treads as my boots since lux does not last long when she is pinned in one spot and will die fast if she does since she has some tools to get away from her pursuer. however if the enemy doesn't have enough CC to pose a threat then i will normally get boots of lucidity but Sorceror's Shoes is also good.

Once i got my boots i will upgrade my crystal into a Catalyst the protector and then usually build it into a Rod of Ages later on, but you can also build into a banshees veil if you enjoy the spell shie

And after Catalyst you build into a Rabadons Deathcap. this is where you start putting power into the build which will make lux really shine in teamfights. she will have the ability to intiate with a slow or a double stun and will set up the team for a good teamfight. more power also means your shield will be bigger which will not on save your self often but give your teammates some extra health in teamfights which will turn the fight into your favor often

After that you will add Rylai's Crystal Scepter to your build. this will give you a lot of health with some extra AP and the passive give you more slow giving your team the speed advantage.

After Rylai's you will then turn your catalyst into your Rod of Ages which will fix your mana problem and give you a ton of health to go along with some AP as well which will increase over the game..you can get this right after catalyst as well but i like to save it for later

If your able to complete your full build Zhonya's Hourglass will give you your last bit of power with some extra survivability. sometimes i will get this earlier if they have a very physical damage heavy team or if tey are focusing me down with burst or DOT spells but i normally save it for last.

IF the game continues to the very end then it is always good to grab a situational item like banshees or something that will give you survivability but if you dont need one then you can always grab a void staff to give you some extra power and magic penetration

I really love flash. So on almost all of my casters or carries i run flash. it can get you out of so many situations and can allow you to be offensive and catch an enemy off guard or it can set you up for a well placed laser for a retreating enemy. but most of you may question clarity. yes clarity is something i feel Lux works nicely with. It gives her more of a supportive role and can help you in laning to stay longer or to get the little extra mana you need to finish off an enemy. although some reasonable replacements would be Ghost, Exhaust, Clairvoyance, and Ignite.

This sequence is usually more popular except that i only get 1 level of my stun and never get it again until after i max shield and Singularity. Singularity gives you great lane control and farming and is a good tool for scouting and harassment and it has large range and is easy to hit so i like to max it first. my shield is a great ***est in lane because sometimes it can save yuor life and can provide some extra health to take extra harassment in lane.

Some extra hints:
When laning with lux be sure that when you harass your enemies with your spells you use your passive to put down a lot more damage on them.
Another thing that annoys me is laser spammers. Your laser is a powerful ability with a low CD...but that does not mean its efficient to use it randomly every time its availible. yes you can use the low Colldown to fire some shots in the dark occasionally but wasting it almost always leads to missed oppurtunities. another thing you should use in unison with your laser is your passive. make sure that you have your passive on an enemy you use your laser on as it will also add your passive's bonus damage on it as well as adding another mark of it. this bonus damage is critical for ensuring a kill.
