I list Abyssal as viable only for the fact that it's the only AP item (that i can think of anyways) that also gives MR.

I will however make a note about survivability by tomorrow and make something related to an alternative to it for those with this issue.

For mana regen i never have had a problem with it on lux but that's just me. That's why starting with the item i picked in the first guide was chosen. Personally Lux is more glass cannonish which can be a little bad late game depending on what's going on.

I will definetly look back onto this post and make adjustments when i have the time. I currently live where i must share 1 computer amongst a few people so i'm trying the best i can. Thank you for your input!

I like this guide a lot your getting a upvote from me.
Has a really nice Lux support build (works well if you insist on playing lux as full support).
I too often rush Deathcap. It makes you look like an ap nuke instead of a support.
Nice and extensive explanations on how to play and what to build on Lux.

Still there are 2 things I dont quite agree with.
Rushing Mejai's Soulstealer as first item isnt the best choice since your picking up the stacks mainly due to teamfights.
In the usual normal game teamfights dont really happen at the beginning.
Also Mejai's Soulstealer provides only AP, no survivability or sustainability.
To get at least some mana regen you have to take the Greater Seal of Scaling Mana Regeneration(best on lux anyway) which leaves you with like no health at all(since you do not list Greater Quintessence of Health).
I would recommend taking up another item first, like Doran's Ring or Meki Pendant, rushing your Mejai's Soulstealer afterwards.
You will, with a decent farm, still get Mejai's Soulstealer in time for the teamfightphase.
If you really dominate your lane from the beginning its a good choice to rush Mejai's Soulstealer, but you never know before.

Just want to say that generally rushing Mejai's Soulstealer isnt always a good choice.

Another thing I want to point out is while you list Abyssal Mask as a possible Item you condemn the Lich Bane.
Not taking up Lich Bane is a viable choice. You explained why but the same goes for the Abyssal Mask when your close enough for its aura effect to take effect you also close enough for enemy champs to easily target you.

I also liked your Lux MR guide helped me a lot when I started out with Lux.
This one is far better ;D Keep it up.

Doran's ring is completely fine, especially if you're running teleport. I prefer that health potion or two over a bit more hp for lane sustain. Otherwise if you plan on lane dominating, then as they're screwed or behind recall and teleport for a bigger advantage, it makes perfect sense. I'm greatly enjoy your comments as well as in how you comment. It never ceases to give me courage into making more guides and updates in the future (when i have time lol)

yeah, when I see myself getting fed I always go for the Rabadon's Deathcap. It's such an amazing boost to the AP, that the sooner you can get it, the better. And in most cases I'd grab it before the mejai, as the super boost of AP is better than the charges. But granted, in a fed game having the mejai in there is just....unkind. Some other things I felt like I should mention:

Doran's Ring offers some good perks for the mid lane choice. I usually grab this and I'm fine in most cases till around 6ish. Usually then I blue pill real fast, grab some pots, and a brilliance elixir, and teleport back (I grab teleport/flash) By this point with good calculation and positioning, I can usually get a kill with Finales Funkeln and staying in lane till I get the large rod then deathcap, refilling on elixirs as I need. Granted this is a bit different than what you have for general order, but this progression has served me really well. (its what gave me those epic scores) Not bashing on your build at all though. You're the one that turned me on to the elixirs. To be honest I never really used them before now. ^_^

Just went 15-2-17 and single handedly carried my entire time within 25 minutes. I should put something up on how to build when overly fed early like this since it will happen now and then. I did a combination of both of these setups. I'll also add in a section involving what to do against any possible champions you may end up fighting against in your lane/overall since my starting item is awkward but payed off this game. I haven't slept for the fifth day in a row on the otherhand and i badly need to get a days worth of sleep, so i'll be sure to read comments and do this later!

Felt like adding this. I just did 12/1/21 as lux using this general progression. I was at 0 deaths for most of it, but the blitzcrank grabbed me over the base wall and they all jumped me. :( . And although we lost, I totally kicked ***. The whole other team wanted to add me XD
I hope this screenshot works.

Yeah that's a personal choice. Usually in the low level fights i'd rather have more mana and damage output instead the level one shield since it could put me below possible mana to slow or snare someone in such situations where someone could die, and the shield does so little that in majority of cases the target will die anyways. But like i said it's more of a personal choice and there's definitely nothing wrong with it.
