Introduction
Malzahar is the strongest mages ingame by far. In this guide, i will tell you how I usually play him.
when playing malzahar your first priority should be to get mid.
Early game.
The first item you're goin to buy is Doran's ring
Doran's Ring and take
Malefic Visions as your first ability.
When the creeps have spawned, hit them a few times with normal attacks, then use your "e".
You should focuse on farming, but if the enemy is overextending, release your wrath. I will post the skill sequence down below. The first time you're using your bluepill, you should have enough money to buy Catalyst the Protector.
Midgame: By now, you should have gotten
Doran's Ring,
Sorcerer's Shoes and
Rod of Ages.
You have two options here, continiue your lane game, farming. Or Go gank bot/top. I usually tend to keep on farming untill mid tower is gone/killed the enemy champion.
Late game: In this build you'll have massive survivability, but you should not go first into battle, leave that to the tank. you should ALWAYS stand far behind in team battles. Use the skill sequence on the their carry, and you'll be amazed how fast his hp drops.

On creeps: To keep the farm up, i just spam
Malefic Visions whenever its not up.
Call of the Void is used if i cannot take down the enemy with just normal attacks. and
Null Zone is for the Siege creeps (?).
On enemy champions: [ E ]

I've played many games with malzahar, and every now and then people say "Omg take away xhaust plz. take flash".
No, you do NOT need flash, if you know how to play a mage, exhaust is better for you, and the team.
Favoured Summoner Spells
Exhaust - Best summoner spell for Malzahar. It is much easier to hit with all your dots
Null Zone exhaust fits perfectly. If you manage to hit with both
Call of the Void and
Exhaust there is no way they an escape.
Ignite - Used as en extra dot while channelig ulti, or a a finnisher, if you managed to ulti him just out of the range of the ignite.
