k well the rushing warmogs is somewhat strange to me, i have played like that before and tryed builds like yours and i find that people realy need to be somewhat limited in their heads or you need to realy farm them early on so they even try to focus you out of fear, otherwise you are just a big damage sponge sitting there doing next to no dmg.

i would suggest you throw in some good ap items like RoA or Abys Scepter so you increase your threat potential and improve your early domination.

also i would suggest you get alteast 9 points in offense for the 15% magic pen since that helps A LOT with your somewhat low damage in game building as a full tank.

will refrain from voting for now but i sense a +1 incoming xD

How could you possibly not like warmogs?

It's such a great item on a tank like maokai that can easily farm it to full after he gets it. It also gives you an extremely large amount of health for teamfights to keep yourself alive.

But I did take everyone's hatred of warmogs into account and made a second build that is free of warmogs but still gives you good health and health regen along with armor and MR.

Also, sorry about the yellow it's getting changed soon >.<

I tried out the early philosopher's stone, and while it does give you the mana regen, I personally prefer Warmog's Armor first.

Clarity and the runes don't keep your mana up enough in lane, I'll agree, but clarity is on a short enough cooldown that you really don't need the Philosopher's Stone or the Catalyst the Protector much. As long as you and your lanemate know not to be too aggressive until it's up again, you'll be fine.

Yeah I'm still new to guides and I'll be editing this constantly, thanks for the help and the vote.

Also, i rush Warmog's because it allows you a lot of time to stack it up, and it gives you the intent to farm minions when you can, which will help with later items.

I've just recently been getting into philo stone, and i might try it out and edit my build accordingly, but for now Warmog's is my number 1 choice for the start

I'm not sure that it's the best idea to rush Warmog's Armor and that Clarity + your runes can sustain your mana hunger.

I suggest getting early Catalyst the Protector or Philosopher's Stone to help with your mana issues.

Also reduce the colors my eyes hurt xD
+1 For motivation :)

I'll quote myself again:

First, Edit your build, on the right side above save, publish, view tick Require comment to vote. You'll get a lot of troll votes if you dont tick it.

Using [*[name of item, skill, rune etc, etc.]](without the *) will show like this: Pyroclasm.
Add more intervals, so the text doesn't look like a wall, abuse that Enter button.

Using [*icon=name of item, skill, rune etc, etc. size=40](again without the *) will show like this:

Try to organise things where you think it would be best so it would be more pleasing to read, for example items section:
Separate Starting Items/Core Items/Situational Items (Last or special occasion]
And should look something like this
- Write what it will give, how it would help, when to get it etc.

- Adds ctitical chance, attak and movement speed, overall a good item for Twitch, combines well with Infinity Edge and makes you even more mobile.

Dont forget to use Bold, Underline and colors(don't overdo it) to point out important things (toolbar above the text box).
Dont use annoying colors a lot.
