Introduction

Master Yi is a Damage Per Second (DPS) player. He's a champ known as AD (Attack Damage) or AP (Ability Power), he can be both types. He can be too a jungler player, but in this guide, I am going to teach you how to make Master Yi an OP (Over Power) champion ;)

Master Yi's Story

Keeper of the ancient art of Wuju, Master Yi is a mystical warrior from the isle of Ionia. His people is impregnated with Wuju and his relatives were of the few ones in continuing the tradition to the present day. Or rather until the armies of Noxus came to Jonia and devastated the land. The Master Yi submitted to the fight against the enemy coward and honored his people by his incomparable domain of the sword.
What happened with his people is something about what the Master Yi does not want to speak. Nevertheless, it has taken his domain of the sword to the League of Legends to avenge his relatives and to put end once and for all to the acts predators of the Noxus. The Master Yi brings the art of style Wuju in such a way that it does to take care his enemies. It is capable of fighting with the speed of the light, as finding support behind the defenses of the armor of an enemy. It can call his internal force, to regenerate life to a great speed. Invoking ancient forces, the Master Yi, it can double the space, appearing behind his enemies. Of equal way it has the skill of rejecting the negative magic.

Abilities

Double strike
Master Yi strikes twice every 7th attack.
This build is critical damage based, your critical is doubled every seven attacks.

Alpha Strike
Master Yi leaps across the battlefield with blinding speed, dealing magic damage to multiple units in his path with a chance to deal bonus magic damage to minions.

This skill allows you to do 300 of Damage to 3 or 4 cmapions in matter of 1 or 2 seconds.

Meditate
Master Yi rejuvinates his body by focus of mind, restoring health and increasing his armor and magic resistance for a short time.
When at level 5 it heals you for 700 over 5 seconds, you say: "LOOL". This is the reason for wich I take Meditate the first with Alpha Strike. With this skill, if you are in your turret with low HP, and one enemy are going to kill you, press "W" and instead he kill you, you kill him.

Wuju Style
Master Yi becomes skilled in the art of Wuju, passively increasing the power of his physical attacks. Activating Wuju Style doubles the passive bonus damage for a short time, but the passive bonus is temporarily removed after the effect wears off.
At level 5 only passive already gives 35 AD. When activated, you get 70 AD, is incredible. This ability is useful to jungler, to destroy turrets, to kill enemies, is a very good ability

Highlander
Master Yi moves with unparalleled agility, temporarily increasing Master Yi's movement and attack speeds as well as making him immune to all slowing effects. Additionally, killing a Champion refreshes all of Master Yi's cooldowns.
You have 12 seconds with 40% of Movement Speed and 80% of Attack Speed. This skill makes you slow immune when active and when you kill an enemy if Highlander is active, all the skills are avaliable again.

Skil Sequence

Instead of the order that I have put before, you can have this one if you like it more:
-First Alpha Strike, then Wuju, after that 1 point of Meditate and Alpha and Wuju and finish with Meditate.

If you are a jungler can also:
-First wuju and Alpha Strike and later Meditate.

Master Yi is so good that you have many possibilities of arranging the skills.

Pros / Cons

Pros

·He is very fast, easy to escape or chase enemies using Highlander.

·Easy to learn to use, you will not have problem.

·If you buy all the correct objects, you will be very OP.

·If you start good with the items, you will go very good in the game.
Cons

·He has low HP, but if you buy Frozen Mallet, you don't have problems.

·He is an evolutionary champion, so is easy to kill early game.

·If you don't got money, you will have problems because he is item dependant.

·If you don't start good with the items, you will go very badly.

Masteries

Most of the Master Yi players give to deffense 9 points in stead of to utility. I think is better give 9 points to utility because if you give to deffense you are wasting 9 points. I explain it:
The 5 masteries you can give are:

·Resolution of the invoker: Increases of different Summoner Spells

·Resistance: +2 points Magic Resistance.

·Vigor: +2 Armor.

·Skin lasts: It reduces in 1 point the damage hurt of minions and monsters.

·Armor with cleavers: He returns 6 points of damage against minions and monsters.

That means that the utility masteries are better than de deffensive for Master Yi.
The deffensive masteries that i have explained, are for junglers.

Runes

As good assassin, he needs critical strike damage.
9x

In order that the previous rune serves, he need critical chance.
9x

An assassin without attack speed is not a good assassin, so he need attack speed.
2x

He need armor penetration to do more damage with the previous runes.
1x

Since I have said before not only needs critical, also he needs damage.

If you want to do more deffensive you can get a Greater Quintessence of Fortitude or a Greater Seal of Resillence, that give you Health and Armor.

Items

·Boots of Speed
I take first this boots because I think that in the first minutes of the game Master Yi don't needs anymore damage.

·Zeal
I take zeal the second because it give me movement speed, attack speed and critical damage in a low level.

·Berserker's Graves
Instead of Mercury Boots or another, I get Berserker's Graves because it give me movement speed and attack speed.

·B.F.Sword
I take that because I am going to need some attack damage.

·Vampiric Scepter
I take Vampiric Scepter because with the next items, (Infinity Edge and Phantom Dancer) I will have a lot of life steal and because later i will have to buy The Bloodthirster.

·Infinity Edge
I am going to need soon more damage, this is the reason that i buy that item.

·Phantom Dancer
Later I am going to buy Phantom Dancer because it give me movement speed, attack speed and critical damage.

·The Bloodthirster
Now I am going to need more life steal because 12 in level 16 it isn't much. And The Bloodthirster give me 60 Attack Damage, 15 Life Steal. Passive. Gain an adittional 1 Physical Damage and 0,25% Life Steal per kill. Maximum of +40 Attack Damage and 10 Lifesteal%. Bonuses are lost upon death.

·Frozen Mallet
The last item is Frozen Mallet because I need HP for the last levels. And because it give me 700 of Health and 20 Attack Damage.

Summoner Spells

Ghost
Your champion ignores unit collision and has 27% increased movement speed for 10 seconds
Ghost is esential for Master Yi. If already it is very fast, with ghost it is still more. It is useful for deffense and offense. You can escape, chase and kill the enemies that go faster.

Ignites
Ignites target enemy unit, dealing 70-410 true damage (depending on champion level) over 5 seconds and reduces healing effects on the target for the duration.
With ignite he can kill enemies more easy, because he don't have to chase them when they have less HP.

Those are the two summoner spells that I use usually, but you can take Flash and Exhaust that are very useful too.

Flash
Teleports your champion toward your cursor's location.
It's useful for deffense and offense. You can flash across a wall, if an enemy have less HP you can flash and kill him.

Exhaust
Exhausts target champion, reducing their Movement Speed by 40%, attack damage dealt by 70%, and ability and item damage dealt by 35% for 2.5 seconds.
Exhaust is a spell like Ghost and Flash, it is useful for deffense and offense. I like it too.

Gameplay

Always i want to do the best to my team, so i am going to do a chapter in order that you do it too. Depending of the team, you have to:

-You have to be aggressive.
-You have to be carefull.
-You have to teamfight.
-You have to push.
-You have to be a tank sometimes.
-You have to defend.
-You have to attack.
-You have to jungler.
-You have to sacrifice if one of your team is afk, stay solo in a lane.
-You have to, if you dont have ranged in the team, go to mid.

If I achieve that you do this, I will feel very proud :D

Summary ~ Conclusion

My conclusion is:
Master Yi is one of the best characters in League of Legends, especially considering his low price. If you don't start good with the items, you will be left behind, and will go very badly, but if you start good with the items, you will be THE ASSASSIN'S MASTER :D.
