Master Yi Build
Ability Sequence

Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
Masteries
This guide is totally GENERAL which is similar to most and anyone who has played enough will know not to go by the book sometimes. For those of you who are unfamiliar with the term "Hard Carry", it simply means that Yi is pretty helpless early game but has the potential to kill multiple enemies late game while being able to push relentlessly.
The things most of you really want to know:
Item Break-Down:
CRITS!
Depending on who's on your team you should usually go for the Stark's if no one else does considering your the melee DPSer and all, else stick with the Malady's.
Everything else is pretty much self-explanatory.
Phantoms - Mobility, increase your DPS greatly.
Infinity Edge - You'll just be scary once you get one.
General Tactics:
Turret Pushing: Use Youmuu's Ghostblade and GTFO with 'r' (usually for backdooring purposes)
Chasing: the usual q, toggled with e, and dead; else, 'r' and get that bastard.
1 vs 1: "Oh dear god... Where did my health go he only hit me twice!"
Specific Tactics:
[*] Early Game: Take advantage of your passive and use your 7th double damage hit along with your alpha strike to harass. Only use meditate if getting terribly harrassed because it eats your mana; your vamp should be enough to keep you laning.
[*] Mid Game: Help in team battles and please go for squishies...
[*] Late Game: If you get everything in this build. Get ready for those 100% CRITS! and MULTIKILLS.
Your Objective:
Kill as many as possible without dying EVER or you will just be impeding the team's overall progress. You want to farm as much as possible because late game is where you shine; hence the term "Hard Carry".
Words of Advice:
Yi is usually a situational champion who only does well with a good team make-up and some competent people. Obviously if you were ever to complete this build you could potentially get Penta kills with it, but many Yi's out there are just committing suicide as they chase a 'lit' champion down the lane only to be ganked in the bushes... Please when you see a Rammus, or a thornmail on a fed tank just give it up =.='. I would also like to reiterate the statement made in the beginning of my guide
Ie. If you're facing a heavy tank team you wanna go for those Black Cleaver's, or heavy caster team a Wit's End.
This is my first official build, so please comment and score fairly. I would really appreciate it if people that rate negatively on the build give a total and fair reason below.
Anyways, have fun and hope that you're not one of those Yi's who go 0:2:0 in the beginning of the match. *Also, the mobafire calculators are a bit off in regards to some of the stats.
Remember: This guide is not a 'rule of thumb' so tweak it a bit to account for the champion make-up of the opposing team.
