I honestly sucked with just about every ADC in the book. Kog'maw sparked my interest with how different he looked. I then realized how great he actually is for beginners. If you are bad at farming, building runaan's hurricane first will make things way easier for you since you don't have to wait for the last shot, you can just spam shot minions and you'll get most of them. Moreover even if you lose a fight, Kog'Maws passive lets you suicide bomb an enemy in range. so even if you lose you still win. i like to use flash on Kog'Maw for 3 reasons. 1: if i happen to be far away from an enemy right before i die, i will flash toward them in order to properly suicide bomb. 2: escape deaths. 3: kill escaping enemies.

Skills for the Chaotic

With your skill leveling, max your W first and your Q secondary. listen carefully, this part is really important (do NOT level anything else, do not level your E or even your ULT at all until youve maxed both your W and Q) this will GREATLY increase your damage. your E and ULT actually lower your damage as AD kog. Your E stacks off of AP and your ult will not do the highest damage in AD, while you shoot off with them you could have shot about 3 basic attacks which would have done way more damage.

Items for the Hungry

I have manufactured 2 different Kog'Maw builds. both builds start off with Ruunan's as the first item. This maximizes the damage output of your W, which melts them for their maximum HP and it also makes farming WAY easier. You are almost guaranteed to farm more then your opponent. Critical Meltdown gives you much more damage but you will be so squishy it will be left on who hits who first, in a group fight if they dont focus you they will all be blown away. for Bloody Frenzy you can life steal your way to surviving, even if they focus you in a group fight and you die, you managed to life steal long enough to lower them all down, your team can finish the job while you bomb them

Melting Runes

All attack speed runes. for other champions this would be insane, but not for Kog'Maw. his W will cause his basic attacks to hit for a % of enemy max hp. the faster you are, the better.

Starving Masteries

these masteries provide maximum damage potential. we also use utility tree for the bonus movement speed because Kog'Maw has no escapes. the utility also gives him 1% life steal. it may not seem like much but that 1% life steal gives more hp back then the tree slots "Culinary Master" and "Butcher".
