Champion Build Guide
Overall Learning.
Akali has a lot of power spikes in this game around this time of her life. she has an alternator buy which is really good for q poke in the lane, punishing someone for walking up too far for CS. Shadow flame makes you one-shot everyone in Sight, except maybe negatron mercs full tank top laner. you spike REALLY hard at lvl 8-9, 11, 13, 16. your q energy cost is way to high to be able to 2v2 at any point in the game before lvl 8, so you just want to play safe and take 1v1's with your ult beforehand. ping your jungler off! your e is your highest damaging ability. you NEED to land it to solo kill most of the time. E2 is basically your R2.
Really early on, you wait for minions to get low enough on the first wave to q all 3 of them at the same time. it's not worth poking your enemy laner early game, since your q energy cost is too high to be able to solo kill early, and you just give CS for no reason. THIS GOES FOR IF YOU ARE ONLY GOING TO Q THE ENEMY LANER, IF YOU CAN FIND A WINDOW TO Q THEM AND GET THE CS, GO FOR IT.
General Rule Of Thumb. IF YOU DONT LAND YOUR E. YOU WILL NOT SOLO KILL. DONT E TOWARDS FULL HP ENEMIES.
Akali is pretty awful on the side lane, since your wave clear isn't that good early on, side laning past LVL 13 is fine since you can't be matched usually. you are strong enough in 1v1's and can even 1v2-1v3 if you land your e to start.
one of the worst parts of playing akali is the inability to take jungle camps, that being said. if your team is doing baron you will just zone, and secure. doing baron as akali is a waste of your champion.
Blue Buffs are amazing on Akali and are a nice little treat before side laning. that being said, you shouldn't ask for blue buffs in the game, have to take enemies or jungle that has no mana.
Passive Procs last longer than shown, if you wait the timer out, you will still get the range, but not the damage.
After you land your e, walk out of the passive circle then e in, in order to maximize damage, Futhermore, if you land e and don't have enough energy to trade, wait out the e timer and e last second to maximize passive energy gained.
Using akali Shroud near walls makes it glitch and results in death, be careful.
one of akali's strengths if being able to escape ganks fairly easily, and even turn ganks on their heads, she is very mobile and hard to pin down. Manuevering shroud is a very useful skill that will turn your opponents upside down if done correctly. try to be unpredictable, but dont forget you can still be hit. so move around a lot. usually what you are doing in shroud is waiting for Cooldowns, energy, or just applying pressure by making your enemy laner play far away.
an important distinction to make as akali is the use of patience, if you think you have a solo kill angle at lvl 10, just dont go for it unless it is 100%. since you will be using your ultimate CD before 11, therefore having a longer cooldown and missing out on your ultimate actcually being an ability. Tier 1 ult is basically just a dash. Your e will outdamage your ult at tier 1.
A good mechanic to learn on akali is being able to do the R into E backwards to insta hit them with it, you can R1->E backwards->Passive proc-> Q -> E2-> Passive proc->Q->R2. thats a solo kill combo.
