I've always loved the ranged adc role. It's what has kept me in gold. Any time i try to branch out i fail. Miserably. I became aware that some people tried adc ezreal mid with at least a somewhat decent level of success. Lucian was my favorite at the time so i said to hell with it they both have good early poke and a reposition if ezreal can go mid why not lucian. I fell in love with it.

Strengths.

1. Good early tower potential
2. Strong early poke and harass
3. Will improve adc skills at the same time
4. Opponents will not be expecting it and may not know how to handle it.
5. Lucian is the only black champ

Weaknesses:

1. Against high wave clear you may run into mana problems clearing minions. This is a situation in which the essence reaver becomes not that bad of a in lane item.
2. May leave your team low on ap. Pick accordingly
3. Not too good vs all in assasins as you are squishy

Essentially you want to always be warding especially since you are so squishy. Never go past your wards in river and depending on if you're winning or losing start either pushing up with wards or warding your jung.

I believe this build works for ranked play and i have used it to good avail all the way up to gold 4 which is the highest I've been.

Works like lucian, but mid instead of bot. If you can mid another character and can play lucian bot then you can probably make this work
