Void Stone (PASSIVE)
Kassadin Passive Ability
Introduction
Did you know Kassadin is currently permabanned on EU servers? That's because he is a beast. Extremely hard to shut down and can do a lot for teams. I don't know why he hasn't been the victim of "OP- nerf now" and FOTM
NOTE: TAKE YOUR Q SPELL BEFORE YOU BUY SO YOU DON'T ACCIDENTALLY CHOOSE E FIRST WHEN YOU BUY A SAPPHIRE CRYSTAL. I'm going to repeat this several times because it really sucks choosing your E ability first.
Second of all he can actually be built quite effectively in numerous different ways including AD. However Ability power, is the easiest to utilize simply because you don't have to be directly in your opponents face to do damgage.
So lets examine him here.
1. Passive - Void Stone. Um 15% reduced damage from abilities? How are people not screaming OP! OP! The bonus AS moot. This is just incredible really. Annie wishes she could have this over her shield.
2. Null Sphere - Spammable single target silence. This is utility number 1.
3. Nether Blade - Actually fairly useful now. I'll elaborate more later
4. Force pulse - Nice AOE slow and your main nuke
5. Rift Walk - Awesome mobility and actually how you directly clean up in teamfights. Again, I'll elaborate more later
NOTE: TAKE YOUR Q SPELL BEFORE YOU BUY SO YOU DON'T ACCIDENTALLY CHOOSE E FIRST WHEN YOU BUY A SAPPHIRE CRYSTAL.
Sapphire Crystal + Strength of Spirit + 2 Health Pots + Teleport should get you through the early game.
Rush your Tear and boots.
You have a number of options for level 2 boots. Merc Treads is your primary option. Survivability is your number 1 priority. Sorc Boots should be your second choice but Ionian Boots are not bad either.
After level 2 boots I like to get Mejais and Glacial Shroud. This instantly boosts your mana pool, allows you to snowball and towerdive. Your E ability should do enough damage at this point without AP to deal damage, and rack up kills and assists.
After this is where your build varies and you have a plethora of options. Survivability mixes in with damage is the way to go.
You already have armor so Zhonya's isn't always the next best choice.
Rylais I really like for a lot of reasons. Health AP and the slow proc. Chasing with your Ultimate (because of your massive mana pool you can do this) and repeatedly Ult on them amplifying the damage of it.
Banshees veil is your item of choice if you need magic resists. Get it at any point that you need it.
So in a perfect world your build should look like this.
Archangels, Sorc Boots, Mejai's Frozen Heart, Zhonya's Hourglass, Banshee's Veil/Rylai's Scepter.
So you take Q to last hit and harass. If you are in a solo lane this will be quite easy to use for harassing as you should be able to melee last hit creeps. In a duo lane you will be using it almost exclusively to last hit. Take 2 levels of it early at most for harass and farm but your E is super important!
Take 1 level of W early so that you can proc yor E ability and so that you can restore mana if you get the chance. It also has the benefit of you being able to smack towers a bit harder if you get free reign.
I also find my self free farming around level 11 meaning that you don't necessarily have to take level 2 of your ult. If you are teamfighting and ganking, every second counts.
So generally E>R>Q>W.
I like teleport for a lot of reasons.
1. It gives you a lot of early game insurance.
2. You are an excellent outer tower pusher with your W and escape. You can easily escape from some one coming to get you with cleanse and your ult.
3. Teleporting to wards etc for ganks and general map control.
You need to play careful pre level 6 as you have a very low escapability with these summoner choices. Make use of your teleport to stay healthy early.
You should be contributing to ganks past level 6 when you have enough farm to have your Mejai's.
When full fights start to happen, you need to be kiting as safely as you can with Q. Hop into the battle and take out their most dangerous target using your Q on some of the immediate threats. (That list is too long to list here but a good example is to silence Vladamir before he pools).
If your team is set up right, you job should again to be to 1.Survive 2. Shut down their carry via nuking and silence.
