Riftmaker turns Ryze bacfk into Season 1+2 build since Will of the Ancients is no longer with us. RiftMaker is just a better version of that. With a loss of raw damage items in the build, it helps compensate with increased damage over time in combat, even with a true damage conversion. It boils down into attrition and survival(befiting of Ryze, eh?). I suggest this build in the Top lane over mid.
