This is my guide to Renekton. I personally do not like the tanky builds people are making as he is a monster if played properly as a pure dps champ. I will explain everything in further detail in each section as to why I chose each aspect. Because of his passivewe will focus on attack damage and speed to proc his rage and do some serious hurt

I chose to go armor pen marks and quints simply because this is after all a straight DPS build. I went dodge seals to help wil toe to toe combat against some melee champs. I also went with MR/lvl glyphs to help you resist some of that nasty AP some of your foes may have. I have played around with pure offensive runes, but find early game these will help you get fed better.

As you can see I went 21/9/0 and spec into exhaust as with your arm pen and exhaust at lvl1 proves FB almost every time. I also do not spec into the mastery where you dodge and then run faster.... you freaking dart away.

The explanation here is since W adds on hit effects, you can slow them and crit the damage done with these items. If the game lasts longer than these items, you can go several ways.


For more life steal and damage if you need the survivability

For more crit chance and speed, this is a great choice if you are fed and dying is not an issue, this will carry your team.

For if they have an armor heavy tank, I love this item, really helps slay tanks.

I prefer to pointfirst for the potential of an early gank with the stun. If you are conservative, go forfirst for the life steal.

I go with Exhaust, Ignite. I use exhaust for the redused armor since we spec into that, and ignite to either get the extra bit of dmg for a kill, or hinder any self healers ie: Mundo, Vlad etc I am sure you could use any variety but I would stay from Heal, since you do this with Q, Clarity, as you use no mana, and Revive.... who really uses that.

Renekton is a fun and very powerful champ if played correctly. Using combos such as E>W>Q>E(to retreat) is very nice to pop shot enemies, but I am sure you will notice this rotation takes about 1/2 of your opponents life so its not really a pop shot. I would try and lane with someone tanky or with good CC, it will help you get kills. Try and time up your ult so you do not waste the duration, as the dmg output from the AOE and the other added effects will help you a great deal in team fights or a 1v1 gank. Since this is a DPS heavy build, make sure you are not the one running into the fight first, you will be focused and get killed in seconds, wait for the right time to slice and dice in and go to work. Auto Attack as much as possible while on CD's you will be doing great damage without skills.
