Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
Hello summoners! This is my first guide for Nidalee. I will be changing the format for this guide over time, but more imporantly I made this guide because many Nidalee builds are outdated and just not viable anymore. Since the recent patch (Talon) some items are utterly useless and not worth putting money into.
I began this guide to show beginning/returning players new strategies and techniques based off of my experience. A MAJOR change to nidalee was the change to her cougar form, heal, and spear. In this build, we get an early Catalyst the Protector in attempt to conserve our heals. Another good item, is Hextech Revolver. This item will help you stay in lane longer and not have to switch into human for heals as often.
Keep in mind that this build is not for epic spears or to stack ap. We are trying to support, dish out good pokes, and more importantly pushing capabilities.
I hope you enjoy the guide.
Pros and Cons(Strengths and Weaknesses)
-Good Pusher/Farmer at level 6
-Absolutely uber poke
-A unique Ultimate
-Can play different roles
-High mobility/Jump over terrain
-Armor & Magic Resist reduction
-Dominates Mid Game!
-So0oOo0 Much Fun :D
-Difficult to get her pounce/spears down
-NO Crowd Control
-Easily downed with CC(Especially silence)
-Weak Late game
Her passive ability. Great for escaping ganks & chasing enemies in the jungle.
Javelin toss provides a great poking ability to nidalee. Use this before a teamfight as much as you can. Having blue buff makes you extremely deadly. Use in lane only if you have a good opportunity.
Takedown is an ad ability. This does a small burst on damage according to their health. The lower their health is the more damage it is going to do.
Bushwhack is practically a free ward. Use it in all high traveled bushes/areas. I cannot stress how amazing the armor/magic reduction is. This can make a 200 armor tank drop to 120. This can change the outcome of a teamfight. Use as much as possible.
Pounce is Nidalee's mobility skill. This ability lunges in the direction of where nidalee is facing(takes some getting used to). It deals AOE damage and can hop over skinny walls.
Primal surge is nidalee's heal. This skill is the main reason why we need a new build. At max level the mana cost is 140!(OMG) Use sparingly at high levels as you will find your mana drop if you use it a lot. Note: Put this ability on smartcast it will help a ton!
Swipe is an aoe magical attack damage enemies in front of you. This ability has a small range. Meaning that if the opposing enemy is 2 steps away you can still hit them(I hope this is clear).
Grants armor, magic resistance and movement speed. All abilities cost no mana and cannot use any human skills in this form.
For maximum damage use your W first, then e, then q.
FARM FARM FARM FARM FARM. I cannot stress how important this is. If any lanes need help just teleport to them!
A great way to farm when you hit level 6 is to hit all mage creeps once with an auto attack. Then Pounce on them and Swipe This will kill all 3. At level 11 the auto attack is not neccessary.
Early Game Teamfights
WHAT ARE YOU DOING! GO BACK TO YOUR LANE AND FARM!
Mid Game Teamfights
Be agressive! At level 11+ you have a lot of burst potential. REMEMBER: Drop traps and heal yourself>tanks>AD carries.
Late Game Teamfights
Your super squishy. Your spears are still good though. Stay away from the teamfights and rain down spears on their carries. Heal anyone low... and who remembered? IM GLAD YOU DID! Drop your traps!!!
