Nice build in general, but I disagree with your skill order. I also believe in Scream>Rupture because no matter how good you are, when your opponent is dodging randomly (the best way to avoid rupture) it's ALWAYS luck against a good player whereas Scream can't be dodged effectively. Also the extra duration helps so much more than you might think. Still upvoted though :P

Thanks Teddy! :)

Sometimes, I prefer to have more criticism than vote ups :P
Is there any constructive criticism to change my build besides format?

Okay, this is a common mistake players make alot with cho' gath. When you lane with someone or lane solo, your main goal is to keep the enemy from the minions no matter how you do it, CC kills or zoning. Rupture has the longest non-ultimate damaging skill range in the game and it has a knock up which will last the FULL duration no matter what. So you have CC and Zoning covered. It also does insane damage with higher AP scaling and is the perfect tool to bring your enemy into range of their demise by jaws. So yeah, if you still want to tell me focusing up rupture every available level after 3 is a noob move then you sir need more lane time with the mother destroying Cho' Gath, nuff said.

well that is true, the cdr in rupture is half that of scream. the delay makes it harder to hit, but still i prefer rupture. it's also a better escape or chase spell because of the slow, especially when you hit someone for a fourth of their health and then get enough slow to close and feast. scream won't stop their running

@mastajdog : With CDR, rupture is then half CD as feral scream. I pick it not because I use it to escape that much (Lets admit it, Cho'Gath runs slow), but when running, a single rupture that hits several targets can actually turn into a feasting match. (2 hit KO a veigar with AP Cho'Gath, if I used Feral scream, I won't have been able to)

Basically, I like the damage more. Feral scream kinda sucks since it doesn't really stop your opponent from escaping (except leapstrike, safeguard etc). If you rupture, flash, Nomnom, its high chance kill, but if you go for Feral scream, you rupture, flash, you have only one bit of time to use either feral scream or feast, in which case its obvious. You don't actually see much Cho'Gaths scream their enemies to death.

In fact, if you compare the timer, a Rupture has shorter total delay than a full feral scream. By mere comparing, Feral scream is inferior to Rupture in damage (To kill) and time (Slower animation).

Hope you understand :)

no, sorry but. Only the damage increases with rupture, were both damage and silence duration increases with scream.

You really only need 1 point in rupture for it to be good. rather have reliable dmg outcome and cc, than one that can miss...

Just a common mistake alot of cho'gath players makes... Scream > rupture always!

Personally I find higher damage better than silence duration longer. After all, most of the time you barely use it besides after your rupture damage and to silence a channeling ulti. I find it worse than Rupture since a) It has short range and b) It is actually easier to miss it while chasing. Rupture can be used to escape, whereas silence only affects champions like Jax, Katarina other rusher-skill champion. Also, its easier to hit many targets with Rupture than that with Feral Scream.

I find that very few scenarios I used Feral Scream to stop an opponent's non-channel skill before he/she used it. To save a teammate, rupture is the better choice, Feral Scream duration doesn't really matter that much (Silencing 2 seconds makes rusher champs unable to do so as well as some homing skills, which most of the time, 2 seconds is WAYY more than enough). Besides, Rupture is better maxed mid game, where you get at least 1 AP item for AP Cho'Gath and the disrupting is way better (Knockup 1 second and slow) than stuff like increase silence duration.

Feral scream's animation is longer, or at least I think so. Correct me if I'm wrong. Casting rupture makes an enemy stunned, or if he jukes, he has to take a longer way. Why not higher damage?

I only recomend Feral Scream > Rupture if the particular player cannot aim that well and relies more on close up damage or else there are a ton of combi nukers, where silencing them longer is better.

PS: I tried Cho'Gath with Feral Scream before, it just doesn't suit me. It may suit you better than it suits me.

It all depends. Rupture is way better, being of further range and higher damage, while Feral Scream is easier to aim. It all depends on the player, and Cho'Gath needs at least one in both :)
