Ryze is an op champion if fully understood and built correctly. I hardly see people use him but when i do see them use him he is usually 10-4-6(average).

The runes might look a little weird but trust me they work. With the magic penatration it helps when they try to counter u with magic resist. And the other runes are their to help with gold gen, armuor and magic resist, and mana gen.

Why mainly utility? Well it helps with extra mana, gold gen, mana gen, and spell vamp is which helps keep ryze alive. And with 9 in defense helps sustain him some when he is in a fight.

Farming is crucial for him. Dont be afraid to use ur skills to last hit the minions because u need to use them to help build the tear of the goddess. That is were the mana gen comes in from the runes and masteries so u can stay longer.

Pros:
He has high burst
His ult is perfect for team fights
Easy clean up on low health champs

Cons:
Can only usally 1 vs 1 with either low health champs or squshy champs
He is very squshy
