Champion Build Guide
Gwen is a very fun champion to play, but she can suffer from feast or famine. In the current meta, she has been performing worse as a Main in the Top lane, and more One Tricks have moved to Mid or Jungle to get more agency. Gwen loses into most traditional skirmishers top, and can even lose to certain tanks. She is super team reliant, and if you plan on playing her, you need to be prepared that she will probably lose bad lanes so hard that you might intentional feed or have to give up tons of creep score.
Overall, she has evolved since her release to become more of a burst mage, heavily reliant on her ultimate cooldown, and going for squishy targets. She is great at split pushing against turrets, but can't match most of the champions that would typically respond to this, so she relies on either team fighting and getting picks, or waiting for the enemy to show on the other side of the map. She doesn't have shields or decent healing, and her true damage lacks due to her reliance on melee range to land the Q Center, which can miss easily. Her W is her only saving grace to avoid crowd control, slows, and other ranged abilities that can hinder or kill her.
Basically, if you think she is fun, then have at it! Just be mindful, and get better at her worst matchups over time.
