You are probably here because you just picked her in champ select or just don't know what to build on her. Well, you are in the right guide so if you have little time take a look at the final build items on the front page otherwise have fun looking in this guide. General
In general you want the runes that are discribed in the guide, make sure you get 10% Cooldown reduction flat or scaling. It is really helpfull when you have 40% because your E will have no cooldown and have it up always! You get 20% of nashors tooth, 10% of Sheen and 10% of your runes.

Offensive runes
As kayle you want to take as much attack speed as you can, also magic penetration and ability power can help for a more offensive build.

Defensive runes
If you have to play against a LB or orianna and u want some more magic resist you can swap out the attack speed quin or cd quin/glyps for more magic resist.

Ferocity
Fury 5x because attack speed is what you need!
Double edge sword is good because you get more damage off it.
Natural talent 5x Kayle scales with ap and ad, take this over the life steal and spell vamp because you will heal with W anyways, dont need more LS and SV.
Bounty hunter 1x Take this because you will do some more damage.

Cunning
Savagery 5x better for last hitting
Assassin 1x got buffed gives you more damage 1v1
Merciless 5x more damage over mana regen any day
Dangerous Games 1x Gives you health and mana back after a kill or assist, worth more then plunder.
Precision 5x will give you more magic and armor pen. You do not need more CDR then 40%.
Thunderlord Decree 1x Try this on kayle, do a Q+E (1AA) and the thunderlord is already proc.

1: Make sure you always buy nashor tooth, this item is the core of kayle.
2: Rageblad is a really good item, make sure to stack up the stacks with basic attacks (without E it gains 2 stacks, with E only 1) before taking a teamfight if possible.
3: Buy a sheen to start with and finish it off to a lichbane! if you are in need off armor you can build the sheen into iceborn gauntles, its not as good as lichbane but still good and gives slows.
4: Deathcap, gives tons of AP!
5: Void staff is needed for magic pen, if they don't got any magic pen buy a situational item.
6: Berserker boots gives attack speed, I find attack speed boots better then magic pen boots.
Situational items:
[*] Abbysal scepter is good against orianna/LB/annie or just a heavy AP team.
[*] Reylai's gives slows, health and alot of AP, good item for kiting and staying alive.
[*] Banshee is a good item against high AP teams.

PROS
[*] Good wave clear
[*] Good mid/late game
[*] Good burst with lich bane
[*] Awesome ultimate
[*] W gives alot of movement speed and heals alot late game when you have 500ap +/-

CONS
[*] No dash or escape, so wards are needed in lane against ganks!
[*] Has a hard time against poke champions
[*] If shut down early hard to get back into game

Make sure to peel your ADC as much as you can. If you have a fed carry top laner also try to peel him. If you are fed try to stay in the backline and poke them as much as you can. Try to focus ADC/APC. If you do tons of damage you might want to consider saving your ult for yourself because you can probably ace the enemy team.

Use E to farm with kayle, do not use Q as much because you will go oom if you do. If you clear the waves fast take some jungle camps aswell to get ahead or try to roam top/bot and get those lanes ahead. If you struggle in lane ping your jungler to put out a gank and get ahead this way. Kayle is also great for farming under the turret.
