the first thing you do when you spawn in is head to the blue jungle. Once here, stand next to the river until right before waves crash, this ensures the enemy cant invade or ward blue. Then once you're in the lane, stay and farm until you hit level 6 or get bramble, at this point gank the bot lane. When playing rammus top you need to accept that you won't normally win lane, however, if you're skilled enough, you can carry the team. When roaming make sure you have teleport up, or else your lane can be easily hard pushed.
