Hello!!!!
This will be my first guide, EVER, just so you know. There maybe is some grammar and spelling that is wrong.

Any way lets continue. Riven is a melee fighter, but she also have a little bit of carry inside her. But her skills dont have so much CC (a stun at 0.5 sec). You need to be careful when your playing as her because when you engage, there is no turning back. Either you die or you grab a kill. Ofc you want the kill :)

For runes i go with something that would give you a nice early game. I dont explain to much, i think you get the point.

It is just the quintessencs thats a problem. I went with CDR in this build, but you can go for attack damage or aything in that way.

Ok so items.......
the first buy is always the hardest in my opinion. If you for a dorans blade, then you are not so squushy, but the lifesteal is low, so you might have to recall in order to get som health pots. Thats why i go for vampire scepter, so you can stay in lane, get the farms and continue on your lantern. The lantern is great for two things:
Free wards and easy mid game jungle. You want blue for cdr and red to help your kill count.

NOTE:I only put in the hexdrinker and quicksilver sash for some midgame antifeeding, if the team has a anoying AP carry, like karthus.


The wifts end is a must item in my opinion, during mid game. Why? You increase your dps and you (again) become less aquishy, at least against casters.

Now then you want the late game items. Riven is easy to farm with so it souldnt be hard to get these items. Sell your Sash first if you have bought it, and go for guardians angel. LESS SQUISHY!!!!+ go for penta :3
Then pretty much basic items. Sell lantern for (at least) one blood thirster, infinity edge, and your boots.

Go for atmas and warmog. Why??? Do i need to answer? Less squishy and you increase your AD really good. (around 66 extra AD) plus armor and crit. A nice bonus.

Last things then:
What have we learned? Nothing??? A lot?? Leave in the comments plz

1)Riven is great in midgame and thats is when you should show whos the boss.
2) Riven is squishy. Work on it during game.
3) Remember that Riven engage almost every teamfight. Dont see it as an disvantage, instead a advantage! Your team need a kamikaze!
4)Play defensive early. Farm and dont feed.
