1: comment to vote (c2v), reduces troll votes and overall gives you better feedback.
2: You need to talk about opposing laners (if you talk both inside and outside the meta, that's really good) and other possible builds. ex: Garen guides need to talk about tanking, playing ad, and a mix of the two.
3: You need to discus game phases.
4: You need to talk about taking the dragon and baron nashor .
5: Try to talk about alternative rune builds and masteries- giving people options based on their preferances will get you better votes.
beginning of a good guide, but needs polishing. If you want it to get better votes, publish when you finish. Since you already have so many downvotes, if you want a good rating you need to make a new guide, copy-paste everything, and private message the people who gave you upvotes to look at the new finished version after archiving this one (i don't make the system, I just explain it =/)

I really recommend that you do look into it, as I think I have quite explained why I chose this item and not those you mentioned. If not in the guide, then already in the comments for Peeeew Peeeew who had a similar question. If you still have a question after reading that I will glady help you and give you an answer.

To Peeeew Peeeew:

Thanks again for the comment. Its true that this build has not that high resists. Yet I already mentioned that in the Pros/Cons section, and I also do recall to have mentioned that this is only a viable build when your team is already quite tanky. This is no Riven tank guide. I wouldnt want to see over 200 resists on her. She's an offtank. And while its true that the resist are not very high, the 40% CDR lets me cast Valor every 3.6 seconds, instead of every 6 seconds. The amounts of damage you shield with this is insane. The amount of AD also seems decent to me, especially since you're going to be doing a good amount of AOE damage. I also do believe you can cast your ult every 27 seconds with this build, which increases the AD with 20% most of the time. Let the burst be Akali's and Talon's thing. I did not create this build to make Riven a bursty champ.

I did not look much into it however... Why Zephyr? For me it feels like one of the worst items for Riven.

It has Tenacity, good. It has CDR, good. It has AD good. But everything else is just a waste.
Riven doesn't benefit that greatly from extra MS since her Q and E doe not benefit. Therefore the more MS you have the less useful are those skills for positioning yourself. Not to mention that with those 2 skills she doesn't need that extra few MS.

And attack speed on Riven is almost a dead stat. Her skill cooldowns are so short and you always want to utilize those passive procs which will make that extra AS simply useless. Because even though you CAN attack faster you will NOT because of her kit. (Of course unless you just sit and AA).

And it's expensive as hell. I'd rather get Maw of Malwortius,Atmas Impaler,Zekes or even Youmuu over it.

well, i still got a problem with this. :P
I just don't see, where dmg and tankyness comes from.
you nearly reach 3k hp, ok. but you have low reistences and "only" 300 ad.
I think riven just need more ap. she needs this kind of burst to kill the adc, most of all, because you won't live long with this low amount of tankyness.
i understand the point of frozen mallet, and lets say zephyr is ok too, but this is only to hunt down ppl, and not for this heavy burst.

it might be a viable build too, but I still kinda think, that this is no teamfighter build.
So it might work in soloq, but i don't think it will work so well in competetive team games.

But thx for the additions. :)

to Meiyjhe:

I do have a part in the 'Items' section where I explain why I did not take some of the popular items.
If some questions keep getting asked I might add a FAQ, because this build is not the standard build and might raise alot of questions, but for single questions I will keep replying in the comments.

And of course I will always try to improve my build. Thanks for the +1!

Structure looks good, and it is very original, for that reason, +1.

Though, answering questions does not really work via the discussion. If you keep getting a lot of questions, I advice adding a FAQ section, where you answer the questions put in the discussion.

Like why did you take this item or did you make this choice?

I am sure you have a good reason, and sometimes, you will find some great ideas in the comments and they will allow you to make your guide better ;D

It is good for starters, but it still needs some work.
I believe in you! :D

Well, i have no clue, why you would ever run this build on riven.
Zyphyr is completely wasted, while you need no AS on riven.
And rushing a frozen mallet might give you some hp and chase down ability, but as riven you should focus on more ad (early brutalizer into bloodthirster, black cleaver and maybe a phage), while this will make you tankier -> Valor.
The ad is important, because it will scale on EVERY single spell, even the passive.
And Blade of the Exile increases your AD by %, what even bursts it up heavily.

You should also max Broken Wings instead of ki burst] first, because the dmg increased by maxing []ki burst is 30/lvl. Maxing Broken Wings the dmg PER 1 of three activations increases by 25/lvl. Means in total +75 each lvl.

As second, max the shield to have this extra tankyness, while you will deal a lot of dmg already.

I'm sorry but I am afraid I will have to disagree with you. The Zephyr has some attack speed, true. But as it gives you the 10% CDR and 35 Tenacity it is a really good item, allowing me to build 40% CDR. Which is insane on Riven. And while it's true that you shouldn't build attack speed on an AD caster, the attack speed still isn't wasted as it will make your Ravenous Hydra stronger, and it makes your passive stacks easier to hit as you have VERY low cooldowns at level 18 and you can do so much abilities, that the attack speed does help to hit your passive proc more often.

As for the skill leveling: i will not comment on that right now. Please read this guide again in a few days, i will have updated the skill sequence part where I will explain my choices.
