Hey everyone, this is my first build.

As you can see, it might be a bit... weird for some people.

This build is to max out your chances to murder/destroy any squishy, survive basically any team fight if not insta focus (No matter what build, if you're not a tank you can not survive insta focus anyway).

Anyway, enjoy and give some feedbacks! I can also post some of my games that I played as Riven, I do have screenies of them and the results.

Those runes are to maximize your early game survivability...
As Riven, you do not need CDR, you'll get enough from your boots. (I will explain the reason for those boots later in the guide.)

Classic AD masteries, no need to really explain ...

Ok now unto the items and why.

For starters, with the runes selection you have you don't need : Health Potions, Resist or Armor.

But, you will always like a little bit of lifesteal, some damage, and 100 hp. Those, combined with your runes, should help you be a low level stomper. Or at least farm in peace while keeping your enemies at bay with your Q.

So, we start with a Doran.

After, if you can do like I did sometimes, you go back, buy first rank boots and a BF. In the worst, you're doing bad and everything, buy boots. Just those, if you can reach level 6 fast, should help you get kills. It's weird, but I did turn around a bad start with just boots...

After, you go in the exact build order I submitted. Why? Frozen Mallet : Damage, Hp and a perma slow... Early in the game, what else do you want? It's basically : Survivability, a "you can't run my dear food" choice AND some extra damage? Yes please.

Now, the Last Whisper. You already have HP, some decent damage, and some armor pen from runes/cleaver. More armor pen mid game, make them squishies die.

Well now the Bloodthirster... I don't really think I need to explain, do I? You boost your AD with a good bonus, some nice lifesteal. Everything you can like in the end.

Now you sell your doran and buy your Atma's. It's Armor, Crits (You don't need it, but a crit here and there, it's always nice!) and more AD... Again.

Now, try to actually FIGHT a riven built this way... Without her getting you from behind.

To explain the Ionian boots : You want CD, wasting rune spots for this would be pointless since of the low bonus and the late game problem where you need to survive/have mr to live. Ofc, you could get threads. BUT you don't really need it! You can already engage and survive while doing some nice CC yourself.

This, is the most IMPORTANT aspect of Riven. Get it wrong, you will probably die or you won't get the end result you wished for ...

So, when you enter a fight you should always, but always be behind/on the sides of the enemy team. You can not be in front if you want maximum results. But yes, you can engage very easily.

To maximize the results : Run towards the squishies, use Q-R-E-Q-W-Q and if you see low hp people, R.

This will allow you to : Do a massive amount of damage with the bonus AD from your ult, maximize your shield and do quite a load of damage during the small amount of time your CDs will take to make you able to run out of there. Or have them all dead. Either way, always aim your ult towards the most enemies. And DON'T BE AFRAID.


To initiate... Same Spell Sequence as higher. But then you probably will die, it will depend if they understand what happens or not.

Exhaust/Flash, you don't need anything else.

Flash, nice escape, always useful.

Ghost? You dont really need it, you can chase/run easily with your basic skills and ghost doesn't allow you to jump over a wall.

Exhaust, well the classic of any melee AD. Can't go out without it, if you do well the range carry or the mage on the other side might destroy you before you reach them ... sadly.

Well, basically this build gives you survivability, some assurances you can chase decently and allow you to survive most of the situations you can get into.
