Why
Otherwise well done on the guide!
However, you do LESS damage, are super squishy and are less efficient as a split pusher. The only real benefit you gain is a essentially, an insec play. This can be useful in certain circumstances and I definitely think that it has its own time and place. The biggest you issue is that you often times die right after, which to me defeats the purpose of Sett.
Long story short, it's kind of a gimmick-y build.
Cheers!
Blade of the Ruined King:
1) Botrk spikes harder than first item trinity, you do more damage with first item botrk.
2) Botrk offers you 12% life steal and sustain is very important for top lane bruisers.
3) Botrk is cheaper (about 233 gold cheaper, not a lot but it helps).
4) Botrk has a slow on the 3rd auto (with cd), which is really nice for landing w in lane.
5) Vampiric Scepter is much better than any of the components in TF, with the best option there being Sheen, which doesn't do a whole lot pre 6.
Trinity Force:
1) Trinity gives you movement speed on hit (like old phage). This is nice for chasing/zoning.
2) Trinity gives you 10 ability haste (9% cdr), which can be nice in extended fights.
Edit: Botrk's Siphon does a lot more for Sett in lane than Trinity's Spellblade, so I did not include it as a pro for Trinity Force.
Some things you'll want to focus on mastering:
1) Last hitting minions (very important)
2) Positioning yourself so that when you hit an enemy champion with E, you also hit a minion behind you, which will cause your E to stun instead of slow.
3) Basic combo of aa + aa + e + q aa + q aa + w
4) Aggressive combo of q (movement speed buff) + e + q aa + q aa + w
5) Delivery ult: q (movement speed buff) + e + flash behind them + r
6) positioning your ult so that when you land you do aoe damage to enemy team
7) Basic animation cancelling: aa + aa + q aa + q aa, use q as soon as your second auto connects to reset your auto attack.
8) If your laner is aggressive and you can hold your e, a very powerful combo is to build grit in a trade and then e + w them, if you w right after your e, they cannot dodge it.
