Who am I?
I am a multiseason challenger Riven main, having achieved challenger for more than 3 seasons. I have also reached grandmaster in Korea mostly playing Riven and I have gained the knowledge and experience to teach anyone how to climb with Riven.
I am currently a coach teaching players in every role/rank/region on how to climb to their desired rank.

Why play Riven in Season 16?
Riot introduced a few changes to the top lane in Season 16, with turret crystalisation and role quests being the main thing to note. As Riven is one of the best champions in top lane to snowball with, these new changes benefitted top laners who are able to build a lead in lane. For example, the role quests now grants bonus xp from every resource just for top laners while turret crystalisation made it much easier for champions who had a hard time breaking turrets like riven in the past. Learning how to get ahead with Riven will definitely be worth it for top laners and right now is the perfect time to do so.
Why this guide?
After scrolling through all the platinum-diamond (which are all frankly low elo), I've seen enough misinformation about how to climb on Riven. It's important to mention that Riven is one of the most mechanical champions in the game, and taking specific runes and builds won't help you climb.
