Caitlyn
Caitlyn is annoying to be against because of her range advantage but it's never impossible to win vs her. Try not to let Caitlyn push you under turret and try your best to bait her net (E) out in laning; when her net (E) is on cooldown that is your window to run her down.

Champion Build Guide
I'm Canky.
I stream on Twitch here and there. You are always welcome to come:

---
1. Starting Items:
Doran's Blade
- Always your go-to starting item when you're looking for an aggressive lane phase. It gives you a nice balance of AD, lifesteal, and some health for early dueling. Doran’s Blade makes Draven an immediate threat in lane, allowing you to trade well, especially if you're facing squishy or standard ADCs.
Long Sword + 3 Health Potions
- Used when you’re against high poke AP bot lanes, like Xerath and Ziggs. This build grants you more sustain and early damage while keeping you safe in the early stages. With three pots, you can survive long enough to get to your first big item and start scaling.
Early Damage vs Sustain
- If you’re up against an easy lane, go for the early damage route, which generally means rushing e.g BF Sword early for raw power. However, if you’re up against a high poke lane, you may want to go for sustain first with Vampiric Scepter. This helps you survive and heal up during extended poke trades.

2. Core Items:
Bloodthirster (First Core Item)
- Bloodthirster is a must-have on Draven. This item is almost tailor-made for him, providing massive AD, lifesteal, and shielding. The lifesteal keeps you relevant in all stages of the game, and the shield allows you to continue to be a menace in teamfights, especially in high-pressure moments. It ensures you can take risks and still sustain through damage.
Mortal Reminder / Lord Dominik's Regards
- Mortal Reminder is your go-to item if the enemy has champions with substantial healing (e.g., Dr Mundo, Zac, Soraka, etc.), reducing their healing and applying Grievous Wounds.
- If the enemy team doesn’t have much healing, Lord Dominik’s Regards is your best pick.
Infinity Edge (Third Core Item)
- Infinity Edge is one of Draven’s most powerful items once you hit that sweet spot of 50% crit chance (usually after picking up items like Kraken Slayer). This item boosts your critical strike damage and works well when paired with a good amount of crit chance, making your already powerful attacks even deadlier.
Rapid Firecannon (After Infinity Edge)
- Rapid Firecannon extends your auto attack range, allowing you to poke safely and deal damage from a further distance. It’s a great item to enhance your positioning and add more utility in long-range dueling situations.
---
3. Situational Items:
Guardian Angel
- A key item when you're up against fed assassins or any team composition that dives hard onto you. The passive allows you to resurrect after dying, which gives you a second chance to continue contributing to the fight, especially during late-game teamfights where your damage is crucial.
Mercurial Scimitar
- Build this when you’re facing heavy crowd control (CC) teams or champions like Jhin, Ashe, or Morgana who rely on hard CC to lock you down. The active cleanse allows you to escape or reposition when an enemy tries to disable you, helping you stay in the fight longer.
The Collector
- The Collector is another situational item that works well when you’re ahead, helping you secure kills more effectively with its execution passive. It’s especially useful in snowballing games where you want to end the game as quickly as possible.
Immortal Shieldbow
- A situational pick when you need survivability and crit chance. The shield passive provides safety in high-pressure fights. It’s also a good pick when you need attack damage alongside crit for maximizing your damage output.
---
4. Boots Choices:
Berserker’s Greaves
- This is the default choice for Draven in most situations, as the attack speed and movement speed are essential for landing more hits and catching your axes. It’s a key item that synergizes with Draven’s early-game power and snowball potential.
Plated Steelcaps
- Take Plated Steelcaps if you’re against a team with fed AD champions or if you’re playing on the weak side of the map and need more defense. This is your go-to pick if you need more durability and can’t afford to get bursted too easily.
Mercury’s Treads
- Consider Mercury’s Treads if the enemy team has a lot of AP burst or CC (e.g., a Leona, Morgana, Zyra bot lane). This gives you magic resistance and some tenacity to deal with CC-heavy comps. It’s especially good if you're playing on weakside and need more safety from CC.
Swiftness Boots
- These boots are a great budget option that gives you speed and helps Draven move around the map more effectively. They’re especially good when you want to position and catch axes while also taking advantage of the adaptive force from the Boot Enchantment.
---
5. Summoner Spells:
Barrier
- The go-to summoner spell for general games. Barrier has a low cooldown compared to Heal and allows you to survive longer during teamfights and skirmishes, especially when you’re not against a CC-heavy dive comp.
Cleanse
- Cleanse is a powerful spell against hard CC. If you’re facing two or more champions with CC (like Leona + Zyra or Morgana), Cleanse can get you out of sticky situations. You can even Cleanse Ignite or Exhaust, making you a lot harder to shut down early.
Exhaust
- Take Exhaust against high-burst ADCs or when facing all-in bot lanes that rely on trades (e.g., Lucian + Nami). Exhaust can also be useful against assassins and champions with high mobility. It can completely neutralize the damage of champions like Zed or Rengar.
---
6. Playstyle:
Early Game:
- Draven is known for his aggressive early game and early power. You should play aggressively, especially when you have the opportunity to land those early Q (Spinning Axes) and punish enemies who misstep. Take advantage of your level 2 power spike to all-in and make the most of your early damage. Draven’s laning phase is where he excels in punishing mistakes and snowballing into the mid-game.
Mid-Game:
- As you start to build up your core items, your damage output becomes insane. Draven’s ability to carry fights isn’t just dependent on his lane phase. With Bloodthirster, Lord Dominik’s Regards, and Infinity Edge, you become a huge threat. Position yourself well during teamfights to maximize your damage output.
Late Game:
- Contrary to popular belief, Draven doesn’t necessarily fall off in the late game. As you build up more crit and AD items, you can shred tanks and execute squishy targets. Stay on the edge of the fight, catch your axes, and use Whirling Death to finish fights. Items like Guardian Angel or Mercurial Scimitar can help you survive long enough to deliver those game-changing moments.
