Before the guide...
First start on your bot lane side for a better jungle start. So you either start krugs or gromp depending on which side you are on, blue or red, respectively. Smite the monster right when it spawns! It allows for the effects to happen to the monster so you take less damage from it, (Stun krugs = less damage taken, Gromp Poison = reduces auto attacks needed) Then go to your buff and take it, then move to the next buff and smite it at the end, NOT THE BEGINNING! This prevents smite steals better and gives you full use of the smite buff it gives you.
After taking double buffs, you should either be able to gank top or mid, or bot and mid, depending where you are. First ask teammates if it is warded. If they say no, go for it. If they say yes, use your sweeper and sweep the most practical bush they would ward. When ganking with Ekko, you need your team to sustain a fight so you can proc your Parallel Convergence (W Ability) Then use E then Q and you should get a lot of damage off since Thunderlords, Your Passive, and Your E are all hitting in one combo. Take note, you should gank if their lane is pushed up leaving more time to get a kill. However, if you are confident you can do enough damage and sustain a tower dive, GO FOR IT.
As tank Ekko, you should absorb damage while killing their back line. His kit is not very good at peeling unless your W hits. You are looking to absorb hits, nuke and possibly kill a squishy, and if anything gets hairy, use your ult and go back in after all your cooldowns are ready. Take note, Ekko is not good alone as a tank, he gets focused too hard for him to deal damage unless their is a shield or heal adder, like lulu, soraka, janna, orianna, etc.
