Lots of damage, lots of CC and an ult that can constantly bounce between you and your ADC. I perma ban this guy cause it's just not fun to go against that.
Champion Build Guide

Harrowing CrescentYour support item. Buy this with 2 potions to start off and if you have a good laning phase you'll be able to sell those potions back for 20g a pop. |
Mythic
![]() |
Kraken SlayerThis item is used if you are looking to exclusively maximise damage. It provides no survivability, less potency to your Q heal and no utility to your team but it does a lot of damage and has the strongest Mythic Passive in the game. |
![]() |
Duskblade of DraktharrThis item does ok damage but the reason it is appealing is the Lethality and Ability Haste.18 Lethality means that in addition to ignoring 18 armor you are also increasing your Q heal by a ***ping 29 points. Ain't too shabby. You get 20 Ability Haste + 5 per Legendary item. Don't forget, once your support item is complete, it counts as a Legendary too. This Ability Haste is useful for more CC uptime on W, more up time on your Q and everything else. |

EclipseEclipse is another option when rolling a Lethality or Crit/Lethality build. The item passive gives you a nice shield and the Mythic Passive gives you armor penentration which enhances all your damage including your Passive's damage. The only issue with Eclipse (as of 12.19) is that it only has 12 Lethality. Before it was the automatic choice for Senna when building Lethality but now Duskblade is a much more valid pick. |
First Item

Umbral GlaiveSenna is lucky to be one of only 3 supports that can build this and it's an amazing item to boot. The stats are good, the item is cheap but the real benefit is the item passive. Not only do you get a free red trinket (for the most part) on a shorter cooldown, you also get to one-shot most wards and traps. If you react fast enough, you can just kill wards as soon as they place them without putting the passive on cooldown. If you get this while still in laning phase, you can dominate the vision control in your lane.Always build this first. |
Boots
![]() |
Boots of SwiftnessYou move faster. Also these boots are quite inexpensive. This is the meta pick for Senna. Obviously switch for Armor/MR boots if the enemy team is heavily invested in a single damage type. |
![]() |
Berserker's GreavesNow, if you want to get wild, build these boots. The attack speed is very nice and noticable. More damage and faster soul collection are among the benefits of attack speed on Senna. |
Legendary

Guinsoo's RagebladeYou'll be surprised how good this item is on Senna. Despite her relatively low Attack Speed Ratio, this item outperforms Infinity Edge until very late game (45 minutes ~ 180 souls) and the added attack speed makes fights a lot smoother and allows you to pump out your passive procs on multiple targets quickly. It also just feels better to have a quicker auto attack speed. Oh and it's also 800 gold cheaper than IE. |
![]() |
Infinity EdgeAn expensive but strong item. When compared to Guinsoo's Rageblade, this scales better in the late game and beyond. I recommend building Guinsoo's first and then once you're full build replacing it with Infinity Edge - Guinsoo's is a stronger item up to that point anyway. |

Lord Dominik's RegardsA good last item pick to maximise damage. Even with no bonus armor a max level champion has over 100 armor. That means you are ignoring at least 35 armor and naturally a lot more against tanks. The passive is also nice since you are not building any HP and Senna's base hp is quite low so most enemies will have more than you and bruisers/tanks will fully utilise the passive. |
![]() |
Mortal ReminderAnother contender for last item. Since the durability updates heal reduction has lost some value but if the enemy team has a lot of healing this is still a great pick. |
![]() |
Chempunk ChainswordNot as good as Mortal Reminder and the bonus HP takes away from the effectiveness Cut Down (Rune) and Lord Dominik's Regards. |
![]() |
Vigilant WardstoneAutomatically upgraded from Watchful Wardstone, this item lets you deploy 2 vision wards and 4 steath wards at any time. It also holds up to 3 vision wards. If you're looking to maximise vision then this is a fantastic item on Senna. Since almost all her AD is Bonus AD she gets more value than most from the 12% bonus passive. |

Wit's EndIf you need Magic Resist, this is a good item to pick. If you build this I wouldn't replace Guinsoo's Rageblade with Infinity Edge. Wit's End is one of the few SS tier items that is extremely strong on champions that build it. The raw stats and passive are both arguably overtuned. |
![]() |
Guardian AngelThis is a strong item to counter assassins and a decent source of armor too. If you build this, do it as a last item or as a replacement for another item after you are full build. |

Rapid FirecannonI think this item is overrated. I never build it. It is possible to do an Attack+Q combo with the passive active but extremely inconsistent and practice won't give you a good success rate. In addition to that, the stats aren't particularly good for Senna and the item overall ends up contributing very little to your overall damage and usefulness.I think this item became bad on Senna as soon as they removed the slow on her attacks and it's popularity is mostly with players that haven't caught on yet. It is a safe way to hit your Q or trigger Fleet Footwork without being in range of the enemy but that will only be effective in a long standoff between both teams. |

Axiom ArcLethality is good for heal potency and damage, Ability Haste is good for ability up time and the passive will give you more ults. A great item all around. Senna's ultimate is very potent in team fights (stronger shield than Locket of the Iron Solari and does decent damage too). |
![]() |
The CollectorThis is a very strong item on Senna due to the fact that it has Lethality, Crit Chance and a nice amount of AD. I wouldn't recommend it for most builds since other items do give more but for a Lethality build this hits hard. The only problem is that this item can take kills from your team which isn't ideal as a support. |
Trinkets

Stealth WardStart with this. |
![]() |
Oracle's LensSwitch to this once your support item evolves. |
![]() |
Farsight AlterationYou can choose to switch to this at Level 9 since Umbral Glaive overlaps a bit with Oracle's Lens. The safe option is to keep Oracle's Lens and avoid using it while Umbral Glaive's passive is scanning. If you do switch to this, then make sure you use it off cooldown and place wards in useful bushes that won't be checked too often. You can have an infinite number of Farsight wards up so this is a ridiculously strong source of vision that is safe to place (unlike normal wards that require you to get close to a bush and risk getting insta-popped). |
Keystone
![]() |
First StrikeThis is a situational pick that can yield some ok results when you are able to poke the enemy team freely and consistently. Overall I would not go this since it's value is limited and results inconsistent. |
![]() |
Dark HarvestThis rune is very lackluster. It requires you to bring the enemy below 50% HP often to stack up and even when stacked up doesn't do enough damage to dethrone Fleet Footwork's utility and survivability. |
![]() |
Fleet FootworkThis is as close to cheat mode as you will find in League of Legends. With Fleet Footwork and Presence of Mind you are usually going to be at high health and mana most of the time. While other laners will have to recall to regenerate you just need to hit a Q or attack on the enemy and you're well on your way to full recovery. Add to that the bonus movement speed which lets you escape with your free hits or chase the enemy down for followup hits and you're laughing. If you find yourself low health but you don't want to recall since you don't have enough spending cash, just basic attack a nearby jungle monster or tower once and get the full value of Fleet Footwork's heal. Remember to keep moving between attack animations to maximise the recovery speed of this rune. |
Minor Runes
![]() |
Presence of MindThis rune single-handedly solves all your mana issues. |
![]() |
Legend: AlacrityThis is the best option on this row. If you aren't running a Precision based runeset then don't get this. |
![]() |
Cut DownThis is a strong rune, especially going into tank-heavy enemies. Always pick this if you are running a Precision based runeset. |
![]() |
Cheap ShotOnly triggers on Q+Attack combo and doesn't do enough damage to outweigh the other runes in the domination tree. Take this if you are running a Domination based runeset but other than that avoid it. Side note: runes like Arcane Comet doesn't trigger Cheap Shot's damage. |

Ghost PoroA good vision rune that is outclassed by Zombie Wards on champions that build Umbral Glaive. |
![]() |
Zombie WardA very strong vision rune that synergises extrememly well with Umbral Glaive. I recommend always picking this if you have Umbral Glaive. Takes longer to gain stacks compared to Ghost Poro but the added vision is very useful. Try to remember to scan for enemy wards before putting your own down since you can avoid consuming stealth wards by simply using the enemy's wards instead! |
![]() |
Ingenious Hunter20 item haste at level 1, stacks up to 50 item haste. This synergises extremely well with Umbral Glaive and your vision trinket. If you are running Eclipse or Duskblade then those cooldowns will also be reduced by up to 33% from this rune alone. |
![]() |
Treasure HunterThe gold is nice but Senna isn't starved for gold usually and, after you get all the stacks, this rune doens't do anything for you. It's value starts and stops with the 550g gold you will eventually get in most games. This doesn't outweigh any of the other options in this row. |
Stat Runes
I always recommend Adaptive Force x2 and Armor. You don't want Health since it will affect Cut Down and Lord Dominik's Regards. As for getting Ability Haste or Attack Speed, neither outweighs the value of raw damage during Senna's laning phase but I suspect any of the three would be fine.

P: AbsolutionSenna's passive has multiple part to it.First is the gathering of souls (or Mist stacks). Each stack increases your AD and every 20 stacks gives you 10 Crit Chance, 20 Attack Range and 8 gold. At 200 stacks you have the same attack range as a tower and 100% Crit Chance just from your passive. Any extra Crit Chance (from either passive or items) gets converted into Lifesteal. This stacking mechanic also replaces her per-level AD growth - she gains no AD from levelling up. You should generally find youself getting 20 stacks every 5 minutes or more. Next part is a bit more straight forward: your attacks do more damage but you have a lower crit ratio and attack speed ratio. This opens up a lot more build paths than other Marksman have. The last part of Senna's passive is that on hitting an enemy champion with 2 attacks (Q counts as an attack) she deals extra current health percent physical damage (scaling by level) and also collects a Mist stack from the target. This has a fairly short cooldown (per target) but for most fights you'll only be able to trigger it once per enemy. |

Q: Piercing DarknessSenna's Q is one of the most loaded abilities in the game. It does damage in a line, slows, heals allies in a line and triggers on hit effects and it does each of these things really well. The targetting for this ability is complicated, it fire at the target and the beam length is a fixed distance from your location regardless of target distance. That means that if you're looking to hit someone behind the target, you need to be close enough for them to be in range of the beam. Next, the targetting uses movement prediction to compensate for the cast animation - if the target is zig zagging back and forth, there is a chance the beam will miss them and instead aim for where they were heading before. This is frustrating since there's nothing you can do about it but it doesn't happen often. This ability can target and hit towers. If you want to maximise damage on the tower (which you usually do) you should weave Q in between attacks. You can overlap your Q with part of your attack animation to hit both at almost the same time. This makes quick trades in lane easy and safe as you can get both Q and attack and then use the Fleet Footwork movement speed to avoid any repurcussions. |
![]() |
W: Last EmbraceThis is a nice CC with a time delay. Max this second since it does pretty good damage too. This CC instantly pops if the target dies so you can use this on a low health minion to instantly CC enemies near it. Combo this with your Q to give enemies less of a chance to run away before the CC starts. |
![]() |
E: Curse of the Black MistA nice movement speed boost that also makes you untargettable when you don't use abilities or attack. A nice counter to Pantheon chasing you.Use this when leaving base, use this when switching lanes, use it whenever you want since more often than not getting to the fight faster is more useful than anything this will give when in a fight. Allies that enter the mist will receive its benefits for the remaining duration - they do not need to remain near you to keep the movement speed and untargetability. |

R: Dawning ShadowThis is a strong AOE shield and damage ultimate. Being CC'd does not interrupt the cast - only dying. Event having Guardian Angel's passive trigger and using Flash don't cancel the cast. This has infinte range so use it freely to help teams in other thans or even to claim an assist from a fight you aren't in. Beware that Samira and Yasuo's projectile blocking abilities also nullify this ability. But on the bright side, your attacks and Q go through those shields. When using this in a fight, use it immediately, there's no benefit in holding it for a kill or wait for people to have taken damage. |
