This is what has worked for me personally so far, I hope you enjoy playing this way, I know I have.

Early game:

Your runes and Q are your one way ticket to feeding yourself in early game,auto attack the ADC, keep going, heal when needed and at one point they'll be weak enough that they'll start to run away, that's where your speed comes through. Your ADC should distract the enemy support.

Targets:

The star of the show is your ability to heal and deal damage at the same time and you'll be good at that too! You will not be compromising effectiveness.These items and runes boost off each other and make you key in dueling squishier targets. You'll be kept healthy by dealing damage. and that's what'll matter when you're fighting, the little things.

Final Chapter:

Yes, you won't be a tank murdering goddess of mayhem, you'll be the queen of dueling and healing, and I'd personally prefer to have that.
