Champion Build Guide
Introduction
Hello, SensualDog here! I just want to start off by saying thank you for checking out my guide, I put a lot of time and effort into my guides so it means a lot when people take time out of their day to check them out. Please feel free to leave a comment/vote to let me know your thoughts on my guide, it really helps out a lot!
Disclaimer: I don't think there is any one 'correct' way to play a champion, all of this is based off my personal experience playing Kog and what I found to work best for me. There are so many possibilities considering runes, item choice, and play style, so what works for me might not work for others, and that's okay! My goal is simply to share what I've found to work for me when playing Kog, and hopefully this guide will find its' way to someone else who likes it! Criticism and feedback is also always welcome, as I am open to trying new things in terms of runes and builds. Anyway, I hope you enjoy this guide and find it useful in some way :)

Why both AD and AP?
I know what you're thinking, "why build both AD and AP on Kog'maw?". While most people build strictly AD items on him, with the exception of those who build AP on him in mid lane, all of Kog'maws abilities scale with AP. Knowing the scaling of his abilities and how good both his AD and AP builds can be, that made me wonder why I never see anyone building both AD and AP on Kog. Looking around on the internet, I hardly found any hybrid builds on him at all, which lead to the creation of this guide. Upon testing out my builds in a number of games, I found that they actually work pretty well, so I wanted to share them with my fellow Kog'maw players!
How to balance AD and AP on Kog
Figuring out how to balance AD and AP on hybrid Kog is actually quite easy. As someone who plays him as both and ADC and an AP Midlaner, I know the difference between the builds, and how the goal and playstyle of each one differs.
AD Kog'maw: With normal Kog, the build focuses on building attack damage, along with attack speed and crit, and mainly relys on his auto attacks for damage.
AP Kog'maw: While AP Kog on the other hand builds magic damage and magic pen, relying on his abilities for damage, rather than bombarding the enemies with auto attacks.
So when trying to make a hybrid build, it's important to focus on including both magic damage and attack speed in order to capture the main goal of each individual build. This way you can keep some of the face-melting playstyle that comes with the attack speed of AD Kog, while also having the heavy burst damage AP Kog gets with his abilities.
