Hey guys.. Decided to make a guide for Shaco one of my favourite champions and the first champion I bought all that time ago. I like to play Shaco as a jungler as I often queue with my mate. So I trust him to solo lane effectively. This is only a brief guide on how I play Shaco.

The runes I pick give Shaco maximum early game damage focussing alot on 2 shiv and jack in the box which will be used heavily to get pretty much everything on your side of the jungle. I've found with this rune build I can finish my side of the jungle in maximum time with a health pot to spare for those quick ganks on top and mid.

The masteries I use is 21-0-9 taking armor pen and magic pen and going right through Lethality and Havoc. On the utility page I get increases experience and buff duration This also helps early game as your jack in the boxes do a lot of damage.

The items I start with are cloth armor and 5 health pots, this gives me maximum sustain in the jungle and quite a lot of armor. When I return to base I buy wriggles lantern and boots of speed if I can. I then build bloodthirster, as it requires minion kills to become more powerful I normally lane more than jungle getting red buff whenever possible. After bloodthirser I build Madreds Bloodrazor, this means my team can go for Baron almost as soon as I get Madred's Bloodrazors. After that I get Black Cleaver for the tanks stacking armor and then phantom dancers. I normally end my build their but you can change wriggles lantern for another bloodthirster of infinity edge, etc.

Skill Sequence

The skill sequence I use is normally decieve behind them, I then proc the backstab and immediently drop a jack in the box where they are most likely to run (in the direction of turret. Then 2 shiv them so they are slowed enough to proc the fear. Then continue auto attacking, if you have lizard buff this will be extremely easy to do.

Summoner Spells

The summoner spells I use are teleport to get back to jungling fast.. just drop a jack in the box in a bush then teleport to it. I also get smite, no jungler should go without smite unless they are Nunu or you risk having dragon, Baron and other buffs stolen from you and used against you.
Other possible summoner spells are flash, helps you get away with decieve if they have oracles, etc
Heal, comes in useful when you are going for a gank or even to save and ally.
Ignite, to secure your kills against enemies like warwick.

The final part to this guide is the jungle route. When game starts buy your starting items and run down to the 2 golems, place 2 boxes on top of each other just out of range of them, then put 3 boxes out of range of lizard buff, then go smite the large blue wraith. After you do that run to the two golems and attack one and move back to you boxes, when the they go off, put a box behind the golems. You should level, buy two shiv, go stand on your boxes at red buff and two shiv the lizard. He should run upto you and get anihalated by your boxes. Move on to wraiths, put a box in the middle and start attacking them. Same with wolves, and same with blue buff. After that you should be ganking, or even earlier depending on the lanes. I normally get decieve at level 4 so I can gank easily. I often put a box down in the bushed next to the solo lane. Then gank mid. After that I recall and teleport to my box and gank the solo lane.

Shaco is probably the hardest champion to run from and to catch, so use this to your advantage, however one thing shaco can't do for quite a while is turret dive. A common myth among the community is that AD Shaco is useless early game.. this is not true, however AP Shaco is extremely powerful early game and lacks late game. So if you aren't getting the kills early game just keep up your farm and wait til late game where you will dominate.
