There exists an ancient order originating in the Ionian Isles dedicated to the preservation of balance. Order, chaos, light, darkness -- all things must exist in perfect harmony for such is the way of the universe. This order is known as the Kinkou and it employs a triumvirate of shadow warriors to uphold its causes in the world. Shen is one of these shadow warriors, entrusted with the sacred duty of Watching the Stars - exercising judgment untainted by prejudice.

Born to a clan whose members have decorated the ranks of the Kinkou for generations, Shen was trained his entire life to become the Eye of Twilight, and thereupon to dispassionately determine what must be done in the interests of equilibrium. As his final trial to ascend to this position, he was made to attend the Takanu, a ceremony in which his father was tortured before his eyes to test his resolve. Any reaction whatsoever would have resulted in his immediate disqualification, but he never averted his gaze and never blinked, not once. As the Eye of Twilight, Shen must make decisions that would buckle the wills of ordinary men, removing all emotion from the equation. He now works with his fellows Akali and Kennen to enforce the balance of Valoran. This hallowed pursuit has unsurprisingly led the triumvirate to the Fields of Justice.

The Eye of Twilight sees not the despair of its victims, only the elegance of equilibrium.

i build shen as a tank with minor ap i will out line why my runes are how they are later. my shen is for a balanced teamm if they go total ad it will work ok the first build is my tank build the second is total mr it works extremely well against a high caster team like say kat, viegar, akali, morde, and brand i will add a total ap tank shen more ap than just a zhonas lawls well thats about it and so start.

my runes are as the are to give earily and late game tankyness all ap comes from the zhonas. i use the flats for a small burst of earily game tankyness with scalin for late game. the build will work without the runes but at that point you will need to be a good player or have bad opponents. runes are interchangeable between builds

ok my masteries are interchangeable cause the build can be used easily switching between the two there basically two routes for shen.

this of course is generic you may want to change it out for more mr or armor as needed after you complete to the zhonas sell the dorans ring and buy either an trinforce, atmas , or a GA depending on the situtation but what i put above is my general tank build for if your team is doing decent and your opponents are balanced ad to ap if there heavy to ap switch the thornmail for something with mr if there heavy ad take the force out for an extra thornmail it works. sorry but im not going as in depth on the items on the second build for mr tank because its just too much work

i play shen to be able to sustain in fight which is why i max his q first then his e to be able to pulls enemies off his team or help draw them closer. same skill sequence for both

ok i go with exhaust and ghost so that you can chase and get away more easily depending on one thing if your teams agro or not as well as if your getting fed or not. same summoner spells cause those are what i use on my main tanks

you will be a tank who can stll hold his own against most carries crits will be bs wether your tanking or not. vorpel blade will be your major damage and ki strike will do a good bit shen is my main and i am a boss tank i dont do support shen or total ap shen jungle if you want but tanking is for me. thi is a guide change it and make it unique to your self and how you play have fun and be a boss. good luck and please dont fail even with a feeder team i stay about positive as shen
