Yes, this is correct because if you die a lot of times you are putting yourself behind and making your enemy laner stronger. This also delays your items so you will not be able to get to that tanky state earlier and be rather squishy. In team fights, you will just get melted. Also, dieing a lot of times will just cause you to fall behind in farm anyway. If you know you are gonna have a hard lane/lose your lane, take teleport instead of ignite.

Its really based on personally preference but personally I just like to build the HP part first (Giant's Belt). It really dosent matter what component you get first but sometimes if I dont have enough gold to purchase a Giant's Belt I will purchase a Chain Vest(into Warden's Mail).

Awsome guide bro, one thing though, when building things like sunfire cape and randuins, Do you get first the HP item or the Armor Items when building it?

Thank you I'm glad you enjoyed it! And yes I am planning to switch up the sections right away. I just put a quick note on the Introduction saying that I am working on the guide.

This guide seems really nice but some of the sections might need to switched up you should probably put your conclusion and change log at the end and take those tips and tricks and put them below your abilities section, that would make it look more organized and thus more appealing. Other than that I like how you added a match ups section and I really like how you used coding, kinda makes me wanna play some shen. nice job :D

Awesome guide! I've been playing Shen again and this guide has helped me out a lot with my build path and runes. If you could put some gameplay of yourself playing that would be great :)

Thanks for the feedback Kalaaver! I will make those changes right away. It's just my preference that I build frozen mallet on Shen.

Actually you take Teleport on certain match-ups, and his runes are fine. But Lasty is right Ignite is usually the better pick, i would put Ignite as your main spell and put Teleport as optional. Going to go over the rest real quick.

Yes, I do have to agree. That is why I put ignite as an alternative summoner spell. But I do prefer running teleport for the global presence. But I dont understand why teleport is so bad? You can't lose lane if you just sit back and cs. It really benefits later in the game. Shen dosen't necessarily need kills, but does need farm. If you need to go back, just teleport right back into lane. Problem solved. Plus there is no right or wrong runes, everyone has their own preferences. This is just in my opinion a pretty good rune set for Shen.

Yeah I don't usually go Doran's blade start but I thought it would be decent because of the Doran's shield nerf. I do have to agree. Yes cloth 5 is another good start for lots of sustain but I still do prefer Doran's shield
