Hi everyone! My name is TheJiJo and this is my first guide on Shen for Season 5!
In this build I will be talking about everything you need to master correctly Shen.

Pros:
-He has great poke
-He has surprising damage with his Vorpal Blade- Ki strike combo
-He has an escape
-EXTREMELY good global ultimate
-Very safe laning phase.
-Very annoying :P

Cons:
-His Shadow Dash costs 140 ENERGY!
-Hasn't got the most damage
-Long cooldown ultimate

Shen has quite a solid laning phase.

Early game:
Early game before 6, you wanna poke the enemy toplaner with your Vorpal Blade everytime it's up. You want to trade with Ki Strike, use Feint and some auto attacks. With your Ruby Crystal, you will deal a good amount of damage while being tanky. Usually you don't want to use Vorpal Blade to farm unless it's to regen from a trade.

Mid game: When you will get into the mid game, you are going to stay top and ult whenever bot lane or the jungler needs help. It could be from the mid lane too, but more often then not bot.

You will do the same late game.

One good and quite important trick on Shen is the Shadow Dash+Flash.
Why is this trick useful?

It is because when you will be Shadow Dashing, you can flash anywhere and Shen will go in the direction he flashed. It could be huge to win a teamfight. You could do Flash+Shadow Dash but it is a lot less surprising.

In teamfights, you are going to be the team's tank. You won't be always the initiator as Shadow Dash is a kind of short ranged ability. If you are splitpushing which you should do when your ult is up, ult the initiator or someone who is taking a lot of damage.

Shen is a very solid tank pick and I think it should be played more often. I hope you enjoyed my guide and it was useful to you! This is my first one so be sure to give me a chance :3
