Introduction
It'll also give me an excuse not to let him go months at a time without playing.
This is tailored for one person, but if it helps anyone else, I'm happy you found some inspiration from this.
This is a fairly simple build and guide. Most of my reasonings and musings are within the notes. Hover over and enjoy my thought process. This is no means tournament champion build or gonna carry you to platinum. It's a great beginning for a great friend of mine.
Why ignore Ricochet? Because after playing, **** ricochet. The old version was great. You bounced as long as you had mana sustain. This version is only useful to aoe armor shred with Black Cleaver. It does nicely reset your attack, but then you get 2 gimp hits. Save it for team fights, ignore it until then. Throw a point into it earlier if you are team fighting early into the game, but I ignore the ****py ability.
I've found the best way to spell shield is spam it. It's a ***** to time. Someone will snag you with something you don't care blocking, or you'll be ignored as soon as you use it. So screw timing the thing, just use it on cooldown during fights. By not trying to time it, I block the most. Also, get into the habit of using it any time an ability points at your character. It's a great reflex to have that has saved me from Amumu and Leona many times now.
