Before starting the game as solo top Shaco, you want to scout out the enemy team to see who is their jungler. If the jungler is someone that primarily starts off at blue buff (Amumu, Scarner, Rammus, Ect) then counter jungle by boxing their red and stealing it. Likewise with blue if they have a jungler that starts red (Lee Sin, Shyvanna, Ect). After that you should be level two and return to lane and dominate. Be sure to remember to gank mid on the way back if you have to cross mid.
While in top lane be sure to box a get-away just in case you get ganked by their jungler. Be sure to deceive and attack them then throw a shiv, after you do so retreat. Repeat that step until you feel like you can kill them. During the fight, do not stay to long, finish them off with the ignite and either flash or deceive away.
