Yes this sounds wired but AP soraka will do amazing, you will be a little squishy but with your AP you should be healing your tanks and or ad carrys for 1000

so i just wanted to say (not being rude or dissing the other builds) that AP soraka is better. Yeah so what, she will be squishy and health s can be beefy but health s can not heal for 1000 plus.

PROS:
- Lots of healing.
- can make the tank unstoppable
- save your teams ***es

CONS:
- squishy
- targeted

honestly, this is all opinion based. but i'll tell you what will be good and bad for soraka

Good
Clairvoyance - this spell is so good for targeting ganks or checking bushes, this spell will help your *** in so many problems
Fortify - this spell will be great for supporting your team if anyone tried to turret dive, you should be able to get a couple kills off of fortify, and save your turrets

ok so when you start the game (lane with an AD carry or a tank) always always always buy dorans ring. it gives you ability power and can help you if you need it. Next get the mecurys treads, this thing will help you a lot! Next i would say you get kage's lucky pick, this is SO helpful, it will give you the extra gold you will need for your items, and it also gives great ability power! Now you should start working for your mejas, yes i said mejas, this is helpful because you get a bunch of assists and that will also help your healing abilitys.
aegis of the legion - i understand this isn't ability power but this is very very very very helpful for the other teammates and covering them if they need it, this will save your life every game. Blasting wand is good ability power and will just make your heals better, i have that in their to lead up for your rod of ages. Rabadons death cap, this item is so important i'm not even going to explain to you why you need it, it will increase your ability power by a **** ton. last but not least get the lich bane, this will help you a lot (replace your dorans ring) and it will give you a **** ton of ability power
