i like the build although i tend to grab a will of the ancients as a first item, the sustain it gives you in lane and in teamfights is simply amazing, also helps if u have another mage .

it's funny how the person that just commented voted you down for not enough cdr, but also voted my guide down, which gets about 30% cdr, for the exact same reason

If I know I have a jungler, I take Soraka and head top with this build. If I need to port back for any reason or the gank is ready I call for help. People hate me, but it's fun =D I also love being able to heal ppl at the end for the last push.

I think AP soraka is not as viable, clutch armor off of astral blessing is not enough. She needs tankiness to be able to proc more Q's. And with the mr shred Q gives, its not as imperative to get piles of AP. I just think this guide needs to include more tankiness to operate at a truly optimal level.

Just played a great game with offensive Soraka. Got a Will of the Ancients instead of Archangel's Staff and went 13-4-17. I think that's the way to start playing her. +1 for the ideas!

Also shut down Karthus's global with an AP buffed global heal just before he hit. Poor sucker had 4 kills the whole game (and about 8 deaths to Soraka!!)

Awesome build and so fun to play. I love when people see a Soraka and think '**** yeah free kill' and end up dying. Love the new Soraka :>

op build :D

So I've tried this build and overall am very pleased with it. But, I still don't see why you would not want the ionian boots instead of the merc treads. It feels like so late in the game (if you even get to that point) when you buy any CDR items (aside from the runes.) Even though you're harassing, I still like having my "oh ****" heal more available to me.
