See , my main problem with this build, is if youre going to use it , you might as well be using a magewick build, it would be better damage, better regen, better tank ability.

Few notes I'd like to make =)

Parrley damage is calculated as follows - Base parrley damage + Sheen/Lichbane proc. With this build your parrley is only dealing around 450ish before resistances.

People underestimate a GP who doesn't stack Crit so you have the element of surprise here.

It's nice to see someone else who likes to build a non mainstream GP, I myself prefer Mageplank with Lichbane procs for 600-800 damage before resistances and an ult that deals about 300 damage per cannon ball before resistances.

It seems that you picked up spirit visage for remove scurvey, however I feel it is a waste of a slot since it does have a 1:1 ratio and would heal for much more with more AP.

Unfortunately only his ultimate procs Rylai's and its on a decently long cooldown however I can see how a GP ult that slows even with no cannonball hits can be useful given its size in a team fight.

I feel like you don't have enough AD to fully utilize tri force/sheen procs, or enough AP to utilize lich bane procs in this build. I feel like rushing RoA on this build as first or second item would be beneficial and would allow you to have health, mana and AP that would greatly assist this build in general (810 health, 925 mana, and 100 AP after 10 minutes).

The problem with that is that GP needs to get into melee range.

Of course, you then heal your balls off by eating two billion pounds of ability-powered citrus fruit. Harass doesn't do all that much against you.

Try Boots of Lucidity over Sorcerer's Shoes. The damage output from your ult is enough without all that much magic penetration. The CDR will let you bomb people faster as well as improving the cooldown on your heal. They also synergize with your Glyphs and possibly 20 Mejai's stacks.

What does the CD get to with Spirit Visage, CD Runes, Masteries, etc.?

I assume with the Lucidity boots, you might go over the Max amount of CD and the Magin Pen might be more beneficial. Also the 20 stack bonus of Mejai might be rendered useless ... if you are near/already going over the CD limit.

I like the build a lot, been looking for a structured AP/Tank GP Build that I can modify or tweak slightly to my liking

Good way to utilize all of Gangplanks abilities, very interesting build. Really gets everybody off guard when you regen so much hp all of a sudden, sort of game changing in a way when they all focus you. I love it. Especially the ksing from the sky parts.

Although I kind of think that mana pots are essential to this cuz gangplank drains mana faster than he can regen.

I'd still strongly recommend maxing Parrley before Raise Morale. No matter how you look at it, Raise Morale is primarily used for denying. The added bonuses aren't all that noticeable until it's maxed. Parrley, on the other hand, can get you an insane amount of gold by just reusing it. You mention that it doesn't give enough gold, but the more you last-hit with it, the more it adds up. Definitely do not skip it. It's more useful in a skirmish than Raise Morale is, in most scenarios.

The centering reason for that is, after defining the build before posting, I experimented with it more and tried to find a good core build, instead of entirely situational like I build it. The reason for the Raise Morale level 3 over getting Parrrley up to 3 first, is because of how pushing comes sooner than teamfights and the difference it makes. I focus on Raise Morale as an AoE buff and getting that little umph during this time in the game is preferable. Parrrley gets maxxed right after because you should be getting into fights much more often during this period of the game. That, and it helps if you are still farming against an enemy hero, which I find myself doing often.

You might want to start with a Sapphire Crystal since Gangplank can have mana issues early game. I notice that you've run flat mana regen seals for that, but try switching to scaling ones. The Sapphire Crystal should be able to sustain you until the seals start paying off. Build that Crystal into a Sheen later.

I can see where you are coming with this and you have a good point, this is an alternative to my build, but the point of the Ruby Crystal is to rush that Spirit Visage for the buff to Remove Scurvy and the cool down reduction it gives. It puts you at 27-28% if I remember right. I am sure that this guide would run either way, but yours would most definitely be better unless the enemy team is harassing you, which I am sure they will.

Finally, I can't believe I'm saying this, but what about Lich Bane instead of Trinity Force? You'll have a ballin' amount of AP with Mejai's and Rylai's, and Lich Bane can net you more base damage than Triforce would, not to mention that Lich procs on Parrley.

I have definitely tried this several times and Trinity Force, while more expensive, turns more heads. It gives you a very noticeable speed increase over Lich Bane, your Raise Morale and the small buff from Trinity Force gives you all the extra power you need. Not to mention, Trinity Force also gives you a little critical, health, mana and other tidbits that assist this build in general.

Basically, all around, this build has been tinkered with a bit. I have found that replacing the Magic Penetration runes for flat Damage has also proven just as viable for the build. It helps during laning for the extra damage towards last hitting and a little to Parrrley. While he isn't focusing around it and his Cannon Barrage doesn't do nearly as much damage, it works the same.

and maybe get sheen earlier? so you can heal, get the DMG proc, then parrley?... seems like that would work.
