I choose Volibear because he is a great tank/ off tank to play as. He is a nice team player and contributes very well to team fights or baron. This build will be more indepth in the future.

The masteries I choose for Volibear is 4-26-0 the reason I choose defence is that voli is a great tank and benefits from all the armour, health and magic resist. Masteries like this will let you be great all round the game. I choose summoners wrath because of flash and exhaust.

The runes I choose for Volibear are mainly the same reason I choose the masteries because, as I said before he benefits from armour, health and magic resist because of his tankyness. Volibear with these runes would become really tanky early game and be able to get first blood and early kills with frenzy.

I choose items with high health and armour most of the time but if I see there is a really strong ap champion on the enemy side I would put some magic resist into the build. I dont really put in much AD for the items because volibear is a tank and is great for setting up kills and helping with kills and I find when playing Volibear when fighting against 1 or 2 opponents that he is really good with fighting because his frenzy is a great move for executing them or getting to really low health.

The skill sequence are vital if you want to do well early game and mid game.

Frenzy
Frenzy is a must to get first it increases your attack speed by 20% that stacks up to 3 and is great for executing your opponents.

Majestic Roar
Majestic Roar is not as important as frenzy but is certainly important for slowing the opponent to kill them or help your team kill them.

Rolling Thunder
Rolling Thunder is a great tool for chasing down your opponents or also flipping them to your teammate or tower.

Thunder Claws
Thunder claws is very effective in either taking of tons of health or hitting the minions near the enemy champions.

Summoner spells for Volibear:

Flash: The best summoner spell I think great for getting away from enemies and getting close up and personal.

Exhaust: Good for chasing down enemies.

Ignite: Good for finishing off opponents.

Smite: This spells main use is in jungling but this build is not jungling so is not required.
