Champion Build Guide
I think the reason most people pick Veigar is because he is a glass cannon mage, the 'I'll blow you up in one second' play style. I go Support first and Middle second, so I come from a Nami, Yuumi, Janna and Alistar type of play style, but I want something that still has damage because I have to be a mid laner, but is definitely more supportive and I think my build fits that really well.
Veigar can still be that mage because of his passive and his ultimate with good AP scalings but if you look at him as my utility white mage then you may find him to be lots of fun like I do.
I kind of think of his abilities as this:
Baleful Strike is a farming and poke tool.
Dark Matter is your big, mage, Zilean-Ziggs-esque bomb. Two points into this ability is stronger than three points into your Baleful Strike and this has a 100% AP scaling. All your AP goes directly into this 1 for 1.
Event Horizon is your tool to peel for your allies, catch enemies out and your get out of jail free card.
Primordial Burst is your, "This enemy is a huge threat to my Marksman, AD Top/Jungler or myself". This is basically your, "Go away!" button whether it's killing them or doing half their health in damage.
If you have a like Maokai top + Shaco jungle then it may not turn out well for you. You want fighters with some sustain and can fight. This build needs people who can skirmish because my build maxes stun second, so you need champions that can follow up on your stuns and damage to clean up.
Good to have in your team are champions like: Aatrox, Darius, Camille, Mundo, Ekko, Fiora, Garen, Gnar, Irelia, Graves, Jayce, Jax, Jarvan, Kayn, Kled, Morde, Nasus, Olaf, Renekton, Sylas, Swain, etc. You get the idea. If you have two, this is ideal.
