Champion Build Guide

Tahm: Bane of Top

By ProbablyPlatform
Why do this to yourself?
Tahm Kench is a menacing character in 1v1's despite being a "support" champion. So I put him in top lane. His support abilities act as damaging ones too making him perfect and adaptable for teamfights and dueling. However, I was unhappy wirh the current tank build meta he has, as I feel like i could be more of a menace and tilt more people that way, along with having more fun playing the champ top lane.
How does it work?
I did some research into what makes a good splitpushing and dueling champion. You need to have good wave clear, disengage and powerful auto attacks. Tahm Kench is mid in all of these aspects, but is good at them in combination with one another. You build AP and AD so your auto attack in combination with weaved in spell attacks make wave clear pretty good, your W makes for an easy escape in combiantion with your Q slow and E shield and health, and you hit turrets surprisingly hard. All this makes tou an excellent split pusher. You also build Hullbreaker to enhance your turret destroying capabilities and dueling protection when alone in a side lane which is where you will be alot of the time anyway. Your AD/AP combination of damage makes you hard to build against along with every item you build giving you HP to enhance your health damage scalings, like your pssive, while also allowing you to have a very large health pool. Hullbreaker armor and MR along with your final situational item, (if you choose to build Death's Dance or Wit's End as your final items) lead you to becoming a tower taker of excellent speed, tanky enough to swallow any attack thrown at you (get it) and have enough damage in combination with all of that, which is very difficult to build against making you able to take on almost any champion in a 1v1 which is exactly what a split pusher wants to be like. However, dont forget, you also have the versatility to use your abilities to help in teamfights too by ulting your adc to save their lives or to help a teammate escape battle by ulting them and using W to escape. You mainly want to keep to yourself in side lanes for Hullbreaker benefits but if needed, your also a teamfightimg champion, and a damn good one at that.
Why isn’t this meta yet?
Because I have not posted this guide yet, either that or people have not seen it yet. But it will, it is inevitable. (Source: Trust me bro)
What if my team thinks I’m trolling?
They might. Ignite and Teleport is pretty unheard of, but I highly vouch for it on Tahm Kench. It allows for total lane domination as you can teleport for better wave control and cs gains, while also running Ignite to have an easy way to kill your lane opponent if they try to run away. It's especially handy when your against a toplaner with alot of self healing such as Aatrox, as you have an on command grevious wounds to prevent alot of his healing while also taking away his HP for an easy 1v1 experience. Another thing is ganks by the enemy jungler. I am not gonna lie, for matchups against toplaners and jungler combos I have had to go agaisnt, you can usually 2v1 once you have Hullbreaker. However don't do this unless your confident in the matchup and wave managment otherwise you get slapped. It is obviously a better idea to 2v1 if your against Amumu jungle and Xin Zhao top lane when compared to a Darius top and Trundle jungle. However your also very good at escaping ganks. Remember how I said you have good depush as a split pusher. The same applies for early game as soon as you level up W
