Greater Mark of Desolation Greater Quintessence of Desolation
For Reds and Quints I take Armorpen runes, as Talon benefits greatly from it. In my opinion they are a must have to deal proper damage, just as you need CDR for it.
Greater Glyph of Cooldown Reduction
This is why i take those for blue. I take flat ones as those benefit your early game better, and as you got 36% CDR when you finish the Built, there is no need for the extra CDR lategame, even less if you buy a blue potion when you got everything else.
Greater Seal of Replenishment
Greater Seal of Armor
When it comes to seals, there are two options for me. I used to use Armor seals, but since the nerf that brought increased manacosts for Rake, I tend to use the flat Manareg ones.

This is by far the best sollution of taking Talon's skills. Proper use of

There is only one exception: i usually take

Talon can use his skills to poke his opponents quite effectively. Just always

Hint: if you manage to hit an enemy with

Like mentioned in the Cons (see above) Talon's ultimate is really hard to master. It is often considered OP, as proper use of it makes you become extremely hard to catch on the one side, but also makes your enemies go down in a split second. You always have to gauge if it's more effective to let the blades return instantly or better leave them in their position to regain cooldowns or make a good escape.
Hint: it might be more effective to run in a different direction then your enemies expect while using ulti, this saved my life several times, but might also make you run right into the next gank.
The last thing i want to mention in terms of using your skills is an awesome escape mechanism.
If you are on low life and are followed by an enemy, try to get to the next brush. The enemy will most certainly chase you, and before he gets too close, Cutthroat behind him and pop

Talon is an awesome farmer, even more on a solo lane. Just try to frequently
Rake the enemy mob wave when one or more Creeps won't survive it, and damage the other ones with it. If possible, always hit the enemy champion/s with that
Rake as well.
After buying your Bloodthirster you should be able to onehit the casterwave with rake, which makes you excellent at roaming around the lanes to take out mobwaves.

Viable Summoner Spells for Talon are:
An awesome spell for Talon, I scored several kills at a tower just by using
Cutthroat +
Noxian Diplomacy (+
Trinity Force!) to get in, using
Ignite and
Shadow Assault, and
Rakeing my enemy before flashing back out, which leads me to the next Summoner Spell:
I heard some people that said Flash wouldn't be usefull as Talon, as your Cutthroat is enough for that. I just see this the opposite way, a double flash makes you invincible! :D
Exhaust is a good alternative for Ignite, but I still prefer Ignite, as Talon's chasing abilities already are transcendent.
If you play on a sololane, this can save your tower AND can prevent you giving up your advantage in level if you fight 2on1. Not that bad.
