Introduction

Hi and welcome to my Talon Guide. Im a German so dont be angry with me if i dont write anything correct. Its my first guide. Im not playing in high-elo or have more than 1000 wins. But i think im playing not that bad and wanna help you if you have problems with Talon. This is a Guide you dont have to copy the build and masteries and runes. But i hope this guide helps you to to better with Talon.

Talon is an AD/melee and has to be played mid because he isnt doing any dmg at bruisers which are most on the toplane. And Talon is beating the most mid champs because of his silence and can carry almost every game.
He can be played in the jungle, too but you need early kills and can get counterjungled easily.

Now you think if he beats everybody why isnt he picked in tournaments or even in normal games?
Its simple: as Talon you HAVE to get kills in the earlygame. If not, you get useless in the Lategame. (If you look at other midchamps like Brand you can do bad in the earlygame but can do well in mid/lategame).

Lore

Talon's earliest memories are the darkness of Noxus' underground passages and the reassuring steel of a blade. He remembers no family, warmth, or kindness. Instead, the clink of stolen gold and the security of a wall at his back are all the kinship he has ever craved. Kept alive only by his quick wits and deft thievery, Talon scraped out a living in the seedy underbelly of Noxus. His mastery of the blade quickly marked him as a threat, and Noxian guilds sent assassins to him with a demand: join their ranks or be killed. He left the bodies of his pursuers dumped in Noxus' moat as his response.

The assassination attempts grew increasingly dangerous until one assailant met Talon blade-for-blade in a match of strength. To his surprise, Talon was disarmed and facing down his executioner's sword when the assassin revealed himself to be General Du Couteau. The General offered Talon the choice between death at his hand, or life as an agent of the Noxian High Command. Talon chose life, on the condition that his service was to Du Couteau alone, for the only type of orders he could respect were from one he could not defeat. Talon remained in the shadows, carrying out secret missions on Du Couteau's orders that took him from the frigid lands of Freljord to the inner sanctums of Bandle City. When the general vanished, Talon considered reclaiming his freedom, but he had gained immense respect for Du Couteau after years in his service. He became obsessed with tracking down the general's whereabouts. Talon's suspicions led him to the doors of the Institute of War, where he joined the League of Legends in order to find those responsible for Du Couteau's disappearance.

''The three deadliest blademasters in all of Valoran are bound to the house of Du Couteau: my father, myself, and Talon. Challenge us, if you dare.'' - Katarina Du Couteau

Itembuild

You start everytime with Boots and 3 Health Potion.
After this you get The Brutalizer for early Armorpen and more attack dmg.
Now you get a Black Cleaver and Mobility Boots for even more dmg and roaming.
Build now a Bloodthirster or Last Whisper. Build a Bloodthirster if the enemy team isn't building any armor. But if they start build much armor you have to go for a Last Whisper.
Now build Trinity Force and a Guardian Angel for more sustain because you are very squishy and you'll get focused if you're fed that much.
Your last item is Bloodthirster or a Last Whisper (what you haven't build yet).

Masteries

I take 21/0/9 masteries.
21 in Offence for more dmg and lower cooldowns
9 in Utility for better manareg on the lane because you run out of mana very quickly and a bit more movementspeed for better roaming.
You get a bit sustain from your runes so its better to skill utility.

Runes

For Runes take ArmorPen in Marks and Flat AD in Essenz for more dmg in early and late game.
Armor and MagicResist for more sustain in the earlygame.

Summonor Spells

I would take Flash and Ignite everytime.
Flash to escape and Ignite to secure a kill pre lvl 6.

Noxian Diplomacy
Talon's next autoattack deals 30 / 60 / 90 / 120 / 150 (+0.3 per bonus attack damage) additional physical damage. If the target is a champion, they will bleed, taking 10 / 20 / 30 / 40 / 50 (+1.0 per bonus attack damage) over 6 seconds and revealing their location for the duration.

if you time it after 1 autoattack you can get a free hit because it

Cutthroat
Talon instantly appears behind his target, silencing them for 1 second and amplifying his damage against that target by 3 / 6 / 9 / 12 / 15 % for 3 seconds.

very effective vs ap champs

Shadow Assault
Talon disperses a ring of blades outwards and gains stealth for up to 2.5 seconds while gaining 40% movement speed. When Talon emerges from stealth, the blades converge on his location. Each time a blade passes through an enemy, they take 120 / 170 / 220 (+0.75 per bonus attack damage) physical damage. Each enemy can only be damaged once at the start of the ability and once at the end.

You send out a ring of blades, every blade do dmg if it hits

Skill Sequence

First max your W for more dmg output, farming and harrass
After max your Q for more dmg and then your E.
Your Ult should be maxed everytime it is possible.

So your Skillorder is: R>W>Q>E

How to Play

Pre lvl 3/4 you should play defensive and only farm. But dont try to get a minion while loosing 200 hp.
After you get your full combo try to harras or even kill the enemy. Jump on him with your E and then hit him with your W. After one autoattack activate you Q for a free hit.

If reaching lvl 6 you can onehit your enemy with on combo or if you already beat the enemy midlaner go roaming to bot or top. With fulllive you will be able to Towerdive the enemy ad carry most of the time.

Do this and keep on farming your midlane. You need much cs and kills.

In the lategame and in teamfights jump on the enemy ad carry if possible and kill him quickly. Thats the most important thing to do with talon in fights. Then focus other squishy targets and stay away from tanks and bruisers they will defeat you especially the bruisers.
