Hello guys. I am iPlato. I am Dutch, so i will probaly make some mistakes in my English. I am a very bad League of Legends player who only plays this game for a year. I mostly play normals and sometimes ranked. I dicided to make this guide because i think Cassiopeia is a very underrated pick at the moment. I mostly inspired this guide of voyboy's play on stream.

Passive Aspect of the Serpent
This ability makes up for your low scaling. It also gives sustain and cooldown reduction wich is very nice.
Late game you wll have easily over 900 ap.

Q Noxioust Blast
With this ability you will get your e rolling. Land this and you will easily deal half your oppenent's HP early game.

W Miasma
Miasma provides you a nice slow witch will let you help catch up with enemies. It also will help you with wave clearing because it provides a long lasting poisen for your e to reset.

E Twin Fang
This is your main damage tool. This is also the ability you will max. It helps you with farming because of the mana refund on killing the unit. It also will make you impossible to trade with early because it deals lots of damage when the target is poisened. Level 2 I often try to land my q. When I land it i can spam my e and will deal probaly half my oponnent's HP.

R Pertifying Gaze
This ability is great for teamfights, 1v1's and 1v2's. When you get dived you often will be able to ult the jungler and burst him/her down and get away safe. Like you can see in this video at 0:38

In teamfight you could consider engaging with it. It is also possible to do a flash ult but this is very riskey and will bring you in the fron line.
I often like to wait until i see a clear opportunity to stun a carry.

- Not very long ranged
- Need to build tanky or you will die late game
- Gets countered easy
- No good escape

Rod of Ages
This item will make you very tanky and helps you with your mana. Always try to buy this as soon as possible.

Rylai's Cryctal Scepter
With this item you will be able to perma slow your oppenent. Your oppenent often wont expect the slow and come way to close late game. You can then slow him and be able to kill him fast.

Rabodons Deathcap
This is your main damage item. This item just simply gives you a lot of damage. Together with you passive you will have 60% extra AP late game

Zhonja's Hourglass
This item gives a lot of damage. It also helps you to be more safe in teamfight with its passive.

Void Staff
This item you will always buy if your oppenents are stacking magic ricist witch they will often do.

Furor
With this engantment you will be able to kite very easy.

Will of the ancients
This item you could buy when you have trouble surviving fights. It will give you massive heal together with your e.

Abyssal Scepter
You will have to buy this item when you want more survivability and you are agains a ap mid.

Athene's Unholy Grail
You could rush this item when you think you dont need the tankiness of ROA.

Guardian Angel
When you get focused very easy in teamfight (Vi Malphite Nocturne). You should buy this item.

Spirit Visage
When your enemy has a fed Ap you should buy this item. It will help you dual the ap. It will also give you a lot of sustain.

Banshee's Veil
When your facing a blitzcrank, tresh or amumu consider taking this item to avoid their q's. You could also buy this item when you're against a karthus.

Flash
Always take flash. Its a great escape witch you really need. It also bring a lot of play making potential like flash ults.

Ignite
Take ignite always when you don't need to the protection from heal or barrier. It gives a lot of kill potential en your poison together with your ignite will help you get kills after you die!

Heal
Take heal when you think you need more safety.

Barrier
Take barrier when against a enemy with a solid healing reduction like fizz.

When not to pick Cassiopeia
Try to not pick Cassiopeia agains heavy engage comps. With champions like J4 en Vi. They will just jump on you and kill you. Also don't pick Cassiopeia agains team comps with a lot of hard cc like Leona and Amumu. They can easily cc you and you will be killed by there carries.

When to pick Cassiopeia
Pick Cassiopeia when there team doesn't have a lot of cc or lockdown. This is a example of a perfect comp to pick Cassiopeia.

- Soraka

You play Cassiopeia in a comp with a lot of peel and cc. They will make it possible to hit a nice ultimate. There peel will make it possible for you to constantly trow DPS at the enemy without getting touched. This a prefect example for a Cassiopeia comp.

It's also funny to try out a poison comp. They will allow you to constantly trow your e's.
