Bubbles n' Waves

By Whulgorlum
Aqua Prison
It's my belief that Aqua Prison is Nami's most important ability. It's no different from the big plays you'll see from a five man Yasuo tornado, a three man Zilean double-bomb or a big Xayah Featherstorm Bladecaller combo. Aqua Prison gets the big, "Ooo!!", "Wows!" and all the head turns when you hit a big one, and not only that, but Aqua Prison is also a great setup for any of these abilities.

Aqua Prison is an ability that often that decides who lives and who dies in skirmishes and big fights, sometimes all it takes is who gets their damage off first? but maybe it's a big bubble to save a life to turn the whole fight around. By maxing Aqua Prison first the cooldown gets so low (3~4 secs) that you're able to use it multiple times in a single fight.

Aqua Prison is my most fun Nami ability to use and that's another one of the reasons I max it second. By maxing it second, you also get to use your Aqua Prison more and that will make you much more proficient, I probably cast more bubbles in a game than your average Nami player and you will too. :)

We take Aqua Prison at level one for safety vs enemies invading our jungle, enemies hiding in brush before we even think about killing minions, incase the enemy lane reaches level two before we can.
Our Spells and Their Combos
I've already went pretty in-depth on Aqua Prison, but it does good damage and lifts enemies into the air essentially stunning them for 1.5 seconds.

Ebb and Flow is our Heal and Damaging ability, think of who you want to bounce it off of in the moment. Do we want bigger damage or bigger heals? :)

Tidecaller's Blessing is a big slowing/poke ability that we max last. Even at lower ranks, the slow and poke damage is good enough to chase or set something up.

Tidal Wave is a big, wide, AoE wave that damages and knocks up enemies. The biggest thing to remember with Tidal Wave is that you don't always have to use it for damage. Allies inside of it or that walk through it gain a giant movement speed boost.

These are some of my favorite spell combinations. Always try to think of ways they can interact with your allies because that's when the crazy fun impressive combos happen:

Aqua Prison into Tidal Wave

Tidal Wave into Aqua Prison

Tidecaller's Blessing into Aqua Prison (on yourself or an ally)
Runes
I'll be writing something on this soon! :)
The Two Core Items and Beyond
Radiant Virtue is an item that makes us tankier and dips further into boosting our allies through healing.

Imperial Mandate is a strong item that empowers our allies with damage and movement speed after an Aqua Prison, Tidal Wave or Tidecaller's Blessing. This is the third item if you're with at least one or two hypercarries like Vayne, Zeri, Kog'Maw, Aphelios, Jinx, and Twitch. Other hypercarries include Master Yi and Kayle.

Mikael's Blessing is great for freeing someone from crowd control is in my opinion, one of the best feelings. It frees CC, it heals, it provides Heal & Shield power for Glacial Augment which makes it now slow for 30%.

Redemption is an item that compliments our Locket of the Iron Solari. We will often use them just seconds apart. Redemption will be our third buy if we don't have a hypercarry listed above. It heals our team and deals true damage to the enemy, ignoring their resistances. It also further boosts our Heal & Shield power, making our Glacial Augment now slow by 40%.

Staff of Flowing Water is great for our AP friends, you can consider this as a third buy instead of Redemption if you're paired with an AP Carry or have two strong multiple sources of AP damage. The ability haste it gives can be super strong. Love your casters! <3

Ardent Censer is a little underpowered right now, so I don't often buy it. The 20% Attack Speed and On-hit buff is good when you're already picking Imperial Mandate as your third item. You're essentially going all-in on your hypercarry.

Oblivion Orb is useful vs big healers like Soraka, Swain, Briar, Warwick and more. I think it kind of sucks having to delay your other items in order to get this early (before Mikael's Blessing) but you're the support and you have to get anti-healing if no one else has or wants to.
The Whole Idea
The Whole Idea behind this build is to Buy Time for the team and to empower the team. This build empowers me so much, using active items is fun and rewarding. I feel like a bigger part of the team when I can contribute more and that's what this build does for me.

-I buy time by maxing Aqua Prison second, allowing me to cast more bubbles for the team.

-I buy time with Exhaust, allowing a teammate to take a lot less damage.

-I buy time by having more defensive stats on Nami, when I take an extra hit, they're focusing on me instead of my ally. I can't count the number of times I've seen an enemy try a 'finishing blow' on me thinking they've finished me off and run off in another direction just to turn around and try again!
Your Positioning
You always want to be aware of your Positioning before fights, in fights, and having good spacing in-between champions, essentially keeping your distance. This does require some knowledge of other champions and their spells, but it's really important.

Once you practice on your positioning and you always have your positioning in the back of your head (even while warding), you'll start to see "!!!" signals in your head when you're too close or maybe even too far away. When you actively think about positioning you'll also start to see when others are out of position. This guy is primetime bubble zone!

Imagine being too close to Darius, Nasus, Irelia, Yasuo, Draven, Caitlyn, Tristana, Gangplank and his Powder Keg, Veigar and his Event Horizon, Graves and his Smoke Screen. Red Flags should be going off, Ouch!!
More to come!
I'll be editing this guide, adding some icons, fix my grammar/spelling, adding colors, adding more chapters on Nami's spells and 'additional items' as well as continuing to fill out the enemies and synergies champion section.

I've been working on this build for a few hours with some other real life things, but I promise you I intend on returning to it tomorrow and the following days to flesh things out more.

Created: 9/25/23.

Edited: 9/26/23. I've added more allies/synergies, icons to abilities, re-wrote a few sentences and a paragraph, added two whole new sections.

Edited: 9/27/23. I'm going to do some overhauling on the spell order and clarify on some items later today.
