But since waking has the highest ap ratio in the game at 60%, why wouldn't you flash in, drop your decoy and one shot everybody? with his insanely high ratio you could probably get at least 40 damage late game which is enough to kill a level 18 full build Maokai if he had less than 5 health

Is there any particular reason that you max your Q before you max your W ?

Your fear is crucial for diving with your ult, stoping enemies for free poke, and escaping when being chased down. Strengthening it is crucial and most of the time you actually want to max it first. This build, however, is more oriented on the E poke and upgrading your Q is just as essential as ever. Drain is really low priority and I almost never use it unless I'm low on health and need to sustain in lane. It's mana cost is too much to be used frequently and its cool-down is so quick that there is next to no need to max it until late game.

Here are just a few thoughts I had:
How can provide better escape? Once you get in to combat the bonus movement speed is gone. 90% of the time when you want to escape it is because you are in a pickle and have already been damaged, making your ineffective.

The can easily be swapped with CDR in adaptive stats, because the magic pen you get from will make you do so much more damage than the +10 AP.
So I would 100% go unless you want to be roaming a lot, in which case the make more sense.

As to the escape possibilities, I would suggest taking , as it gives you so much more movement speed: let's say you use and want to get out because it was a bad engage. The movement speed from will be much more useful here compared to , because, once again, the movement speed bonus of these boots just falls of the moment you go in combat. Also gives more chase potential when you do go in with a good ult and want to stick on your enemies.

Very good points. I definitely agree to your points on boots and I added sorcs to the options. However, even though nimbus cloak is good for chases and disengage, you definitely want to be going mana flow band if you're constantly going to be throwing out your E's to poke at the enemy. It rounds out his sustain by giving him a mana boost in addition to his W's heals. Thank you for the feedback.
